PlaneShift is a Role Playing Game immersed into a 3D virtual fantasy world which is fully free to play.

Planeshift is a MMORPG on public alpha stages developed by the non-profit company, Atomic Blue, which also released the game engine under GNU license.
it is also completely free game, no cash is required in order to download, get premium access and there's no monthy fee.

What differs Planeshift from other MMORPGs is that Planeshift focuses on In-Character talk, a term burrowed from Role-playing, in other words, you do not speak as a player playing the game, but as it's character, for example, a player will not call another player by it's nickname unless he told him what his name really is, like in real life (In real life you won't be seeing one's name floating right above it's head).
