Planet Namek is a fictional planet in the Dragonball Z universe. It is the location of many of the show's major events. The planet also appears in most Dragonball Z games.
Namek is the native planet of the Namekian race. The planet never experiences nighttime. On the planet in search of the Dragonballs, Goku eventually crossed paths with one of the series' most renowned villians, Frieza. Towards the fight's climax, after Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan, Frieza destroyed the planet in hopes of killing Goku. After the planet's destruction the Namekians found a new home planet.Planet Namek games
