So as the title says is the new 360 version the same game with same levels or is it a new game based around the same idea? I have plants vs zombies on PC and the marketplace ad on the 360 dashboard is killing me and i want to know if i should buy it.

Plants Vs. Zombies is an action-strategy tower defense-style game developed by PopCap that tasks the player with surviving an onslaught of the undead by growing plants on their lawn.
Plants vs Zombies 360 and PC versions any difference?
I was crazy and I bought Plants vs Zombies on 360 and I already own it on PC. Overall it doesn't seem that different. There's some offline coop / vs modes which I haven't played... The game has real widescreen support but the art doesn't seem very different. The interface / menus are nicer looking.
That seems to be about it.
The only difference are some new multiplayer modes.
Quite frankly it doesn't seem worth the five extra bucks.
Doesn't the 360 version have higher resolution graphics? The PC versions is strictly 800x600. I should grab the 360 demo and see for myself.
edit: Ah, same resolution in-game with extra padding to fill up the 720p resolution. Shame.

@Pie: Yea, it's definitely getting near the 1:1 pixel text size. Wasn't too bad though, and I'm on CRT HDTV so things are a bit blurrier than they'd be on a different display.
Truth be told there isn't much difference between the two. But I grabbed it because I wanted to play multiplayer with my roommates (it's kinda nice to eat my roommates' brains). If you don't have it yet, I'd grab it for the 360 IMO it's a little bit better than the PC version.
" Don't forget, it's also in the iPhone/Pod :) "I've got PC version and I've only played right through on the iPhone version.
" @Diamond said:It's still pretty great, veterans of the series will pick up the 360 differences in no time." @ryanwho: No, the controls work fine. They do have some magnetism on the suns and coins, and you don't have to click them to collect em. "Just tried the demo and it's significantly slower. Not saying it isn't a fun version. "
" @Diamond said:No, the numbers of zombies, the speed of zombies, and the durability of zombies are literally exactly the same, at least on early levels. You must just remember it being different. I have compared the two versions running side by side..." @ryanwho: No, the controls work fine. They do have some magnetism on the suns and coins, and you don't have to click them to collect em. "Just tried the demo and it's significantly slower. Not saying it isn't a fun version.
I've heard a lot of good things about the PC version so I just picked this up for my 360 a few days back. I'm totally in love with it and have been playing non-stop. The magnetism on the sun seems kinda necessary for analog stick controls, by the way. Having to press A on the sunflowers would be kinda messed up. So far, it feels fine and any losses are never due to the control scheme. If I keep playing at this pace I'll turn into either a plant or zombie myself.
