Hello. As the title suggests, I finally ordered a PS2 off Amazon for teh cheapz. However, aside from the obvious Metal Gear Solid (despite the fact that actually playing those games is an adventure in frustration) and Persona (I own 3 and will get 4.) choices, I really don't know what I should get. (no, I don't care about Final Fantasy or anything from the ICO team)

I have no real preferences from a genre standpoint, except for the fact that I dislike Driving and Puzzle games, so you are all free to tell me what you think is good. Extra points for exclusives.

Also, since I'm here, are the Resident Evil Outbreak games any good at all? I can easily find at least the first one for around $10, so I was just wondering.

Bully is quite good. It came out for the Wii I think, but i've heard the ps2 version remains the better one.

God Hand, Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War 1 and 2, Odin Sphere.

You should get the Devil May Cry(not the second one though, it sucks ass), Viewtiful Joe and Prince of Persia games.

Beyond Good & Evil has a really cool story and immersive world.

I suggest Final fantasy games, God of War games and Metal gear Solid games are all good.

No, I dislike the FF series for more than its gameplay. I also hate the story, as well as what the series has become. Kingdom Hearts is an extension of the Final Fantasy franchise (even if it is all fan service), and if I wanted to have a brawler I would get God of War or Devil May Cry. Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Kingdom Hearts, uh...

Do not in any circumstances get the Outbreak games, no matter how cheap, and if you get it for free then burn it. I love the Resident Evil Series but that game is God Awful. Not just in gameplay but the loading times everytime you open a dam door are atrocious, and the game in general is retarded. 
Also do not get Max payne 1 or 2 on the ps2, they suck on the ps2, and the second one is almost unplayable on the ps2. They are however some of my all time favorite games on the PC, so dont get them on the ps2 whatever you do.

As for games pretty much everything everyone ^^^^ up there has said.
But i highly recommend the jak and daxter and rachet and clank series, those games are dam awesome.

Silent Hill 2 is the best game you can get on the console.
