Alright,so I've managed to score one for 150 dllrs and I thought I'd ask some advice about what games I should pick up. I already have a few ideas on what I'd want. I'm definitely picking up MGS4 (!). So let me hear what you guys think. I'm not looking to spend a lot of cash and I'm really only interested in exclusives. Thanks in advance!

The usual suspects: Demon's Souls, inFamouses, Slys, Ico & Shadow of the Colossus, Valkyria Chronicles, Uncharteds, GoWs, MGSes, Resistances, Little Big Planets, Ratchet & Clanks, Ni No Kuni. All worth playing.

I'm pretty psyched bout in no kuni but ill wait for it to get cheaper

Get Playstation Plus, you'll end up with a bunch of freebies right off the bat.

I've thought of that but really all I'm interested in is the exclusives and they don't seem to pop up on there that much.

Anybody got anything good to say bout that DC universe game?

Max Payne 3 feels most comfortable on PS3 if that makes any difference

Demon's Souls, Ni no Kuni, and Valkyria Chronicles.

Also, you realize the Playstation 4 is going to be out this year right?

Yeah but it's not backwards compatible and everyone knows console launches don't have games for a year or so.

Persona 3 FES is on the PSN store and it is fantastic.

...and then just fill in the rest of this post with the usual suspects. Resistance 3 is a must-play.

Journey, Uncharted 1/2, Infamous 1/2 would be a good start.

All these games are cheap and the ones that say Saga are discs that include all the games from that series. Resistance also comes in a Saga disc with all 3 games but you don't really need to play the first 2 unless you want to. If you're interested in Killzone, that has a saga disc also. Killzone isn't great at singleplayer but it's a gorgeous game.

I would highly recommend Infamous, and you should get God of War 3, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, and/or Crack in Time. I didn't like Uncharted at all, so I haven't gotten around to trying Uncharted 2 or 3. I haven't played any other exclusives.

Get that Jak and Daxter Collection....that first game holds up extremely well

If SRPG's are your thing try Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten

You can get the God of War Saga, 5 games for 40 Bucks i think....a good deal that is

3D Dot Game Heroes if you want a Zelda experience

Im gonna say it, play Resistance 3.....that game is great

Playstation Plus is a great deal an is usually getting better, i think Infamous 2 is still on there

Other than that get the usual suspects like Infamous, Uncharted, and Journey

Yup just get a bunch of the collections. Resistance, Infamous, God of War, Killzone, Uncharted. Other good games include Journey and Flower, Motorstorm 2 and 3, LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, Ratchet and Clank Future series, Demon's Souls, Heavy Rain, The Unfinished Swan, Sound Shapes, Sly 4, and I'm sure a couple more I'm not thinking of.

If you are gonna play Uncharted then don't skip out on the first game. It's still a great game and it holds up reasonable well as long as you play it as the first game.

All right,just I case anybody is curious I ended up getting yakuza 4,infamous dual pack,uncharted dual pack,god of war saga and mgs 4. Really the only reason I got a ps3 was for mgs and I'm glad I got the extra stuff. All told I only spent about 250 and got a console and eleven games. Plus dc universe and dust 514. I'm happy with my purchase...oh,and can someone please explain to me what the hell playstation home is? Just from watching my GF play it looks like the sims.

@doctordanger99: Wipe PS Home from your mind. It's basically a Sims kind of thing but no taking care of your person. Just buy clothes, furniture, and houses with real stuff and go to areas inspired by video games and play mini games. Just ignore it.

On topic, that's a good set of games. But buy Journey, The Unfinished Swan and Sound Shapes on the PS Store! They're great games.
