I'd like to know what it's like now and whether it's any good?
PlayStation 3

The PlayStation 3 (often abbreviated PS3) is the third home video game console created and released by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
Anyone still use Playstation Home?
"whether it's any good? "Good at what? It's not a game just download it and see for yourself.
No, not usually. It's sort of boring there, I just go there to dance before. It's funny with my bald agent 47 avatar there.
theres a lot of people that still do. my friend still uses it... and there have been times you can get beta codes from it...
i think home is basically a failed experiment. it would have been much more successful if they had found a way to integrate your home apartment into the ps3s dashboard. like making the apartment itself the dashboard. this is something i would be really interested in trying out.
If there had been a way to have user created content in there, it would have been more appealing to me at least.
For example, if i'm about to play Madden 11, I should slap on my uniform/pads, and meet up in the Madden room, where we can scrimmage against others... then take it online from there seamlessly.
If I want to race, I head to my virtual garage where all my GT5 cars are stockpiled, and head out to the Home track.. where I can rip around with fellow friends, then head into the game with them. Kind of like a Modnation Racer experience.
It should have been designed from the start as a lobby/meeting space to launch games. instead it was designed as a second life simulator without any of the shit that kind of made second life cool. (The ability to fly and design your own stuff)
I don't think I've been there since 2009. The last thing I can recall seeing were ads in the theater for that Resident Evil animated movie.
" Never did, never will, never thought about it, and I never will think about it. "This. But A lot of people must be using it if Sony keeps it going.
You know that period of time after you get home from being out partying and drunk when you are still wide awake and not ready to crash? That's when I go into Playstation Home and play poker in the EA Sports room. It's chill, mindless and mildly entertaining for when you are too drunk to play real games.
Posts like this make me angry; because it's clear no-one has been there in a year or so. Which is fine, I get it, it's not for everyone. But seriously -- you should see how far it's come. Loading, spaces, content, navigation -- all much improved.
Universally, I see people on other boards eat crow when they jump back in. It really is that much better these days. SodiumOne is a cool little meta-game where you pilot a ship in a genuinely decent arena shooter that has progressive unlocks, leaderboards, etc. Likewise, the Midway Carnival is a cool little digital interpretation of a festival, where you buy tickets and get to take part in a variety of activities that earn you tons of Home goodies.
The Buzz! and Minis space are also neat. As is the new Audi one. As for personal spaces, they actually have a meaning now you can buy stuff like pool tables, darts boards and arcade cabinets to put in them.
Again, I get why people wouldn't want to use it. It's just, you should really give it one more go before saying "lol" to it. It's come MILES since the initial launch.
I actually think they announced it too early. If they were launching it NOW, people would be much more taken with it. I still don't think it would be for everyone, but perception's the thing Sony's got to change. They can change perception by getting people to go back, but the thing is, people are never going to bother.
It's a shame because I actually like the concept of Home and like where it's heading (with the meta-games structure). Thankfully, the service is thriving enough to warrant further development. I just hope some of you people give it a second-chance.
I never used Home until a couple months ago, and now I am back to ignoring it. I guess it's a decent idea, but it's just really arbitrary and weird. It's also really bad at telling you what things are and how to do anything with anything.
Yes i check in once a week to see how much stuff i can get for free, i have a pretty nice apartment in there.
