I'm looking into purchasing a PS3, have yet to play all the awesome Sony exclusives + The Last of Us looks awesome, and was just curious if there were any sales that are coming up.

Might want to wait for Gamescon. People forget that Sony is bigger than the other two in Europe so they tend to save big announcements for that event. Otherwise keep looking at Amazon for sales of it if you want to buy it for a lower price.
