Does GiantBomb have a folding@home group?

Because if we don't, we should start one. I really like the project & I would love to work with other GB users. nbdjs

What is folding@home? I've never heard of it.

@natetodamax: It's a distributed computing project to study protein folding to help cure diseases. You are sent a small file known as a "work unit", your own computer does several interpolations on it and when you're done it automatically sends the data back. WU's themselves aren't very large but the work that needs to be done on one is. This allows scientists to tap a large reservoir of computing power for compute-intensive tasks such as protein folding analysis with little to no additional research cost, hopefully speeding up the race to find a cure for such things as HIV, cancer, and Alzheimer's.

This should be anchored to the top of the PS3 forum list.
