Is it good or bad to break PS3?

Now “Break” /”Hacking” becomes hot word in game world. I ˋ m a PS3 user. Last week my boyfriend told me that it ˋ s very cool to play games for FREE with a break. So with this temptation, I aslo bought a usb PS3 break from an online store http://www.ps3breakr4.com/ps3-break-v-12-power-switch-p-3.html?zenid=a6d091df8fa7f2f035475f5d3070a3f6.

Today the item arrives. But I suddenly want to ask myself “Am I moral?”. Is it good or bad to break PS3? And what would realistically happen to the PS3 ˋ s future (Sony, game developers, publisher, game users etc) after this hacking?

What do you think? Did I do the wrong thing?

@davee13: Stealing is bad, and piracy is not quite the same as stealing but it still is bad, don't kid yourself about it, on the spectrum you are doing something wrong, like littering, maybe not as wrong as outright stealing but definitely wrong.

Stealing from PS3 is bad. Stick to stealing XBLA games with cracked profiles - that's basically a moral high ground cos M$ (I spelled it wif a dollarr :)) are evulz and won't make platform games.

piracy is actually the exact same as stealing, minus the physical disk.

No it is not, when a person steals he takes the object that was in possesion of the rightful owner, pirates do not steal the actual physical hard copy of the game, a shoplifter would a stealer, a pirate no.
