Back when the game came out for 360 only I remember being very interested in it and no doubt would have purchased it had I owned a 360.  I was pretty excited when it came out for PS3 finally but was too busy playing other games and the $15 price point for a downloadable game real put me off.  Well I got a $20 PSN card for Christmas and I figure I might as well spend it now and get a game while a) I'm still off school and b) before Mass Effect 2 comes out.  However, I find myself less excited about Braid than I've ever been which is somewhat interesting because now I have both the funds and the time for it.

So I guess my question is whether or not it is worth spending $15 on a two year old downloadable game.  Even though I am not totally opposed to saving the money, I do feel like I should download something just because I am usually busy and for once right now I actually have time to play games.  Is there any other downloadable gem better worth my time and money then Braid? (keep in mind I already have pacman DX)  Or should I just man up to the cost and get Braid?

If you got the Humble Indie Bundle you could have got it for a penny.

    But still get it.

Go for it. I've played recently and loved it.  It's never too late to play a game that you like.

Absolutely not. Braid is unlike every other game out there both in terms of gameplay and narrative, you should get it. Go, play, enjoy.

If you have a computer that could play it, I'd heavily suggest getting it on Steam since it's only $5 dollars right now as opposed to $15.  It's a good game, but not something that you'll end up playing more than once or twice.

It's not like the graphics or anything are dated now. Braid is amazing. Go buy it.

Yep, anyone who plays it now is a loser. It was a good game, too bad you didn't buy it sooner.

Any good game can be played at any moment in time.  They never decrease in quality.

Having said that, I still don't get what people like about Braid.  I get that others can have their opinion, but it felt  fairly derivative of what  I played on Kongregate for the last 4-5 years.

You can just get it on Steam for dirt cheap right now...I'm assuming you have a PC as you are on the forums.

I don't really think it's ever too late for a game unless it's a game that relies heavily on multiplayer support and you're playing after interest has dwindled. So, no, it's not too late. Play it!

If you were smart, you could've paid 10 cents for it and a few other games with the Humble Bundle, you'd also get 5 other games with the original bundle too.  :|

Actually if you threw down like 8 bucks on the humble indie bundle 2 you could have gotten it and a crap ton of other games as well.  Too bad I think that deal is over.

That was on humble indie bundle 2 yes, BUT!!! If you paid the "average" donation which at the end was $7.83 you got all of humble bundle 2 and humble bundle 1.  So basically you could get 11 games for 8 dollars.  Braid was one of them.  You also got some of their soundtracks for that matter.  At 10 cent you would have only gotten bundle 2 and got to go down on the cheap SOB/chump list.

I should play that game sometime... but right now, I'm playing Final Fantasy XIII for the first time, and that's way... longer.
