I haven't been using my PS3 for very long but I'm finding myself incredibly frustrated with the fact that every time I go to update a game, the time to download jumps up exponentially before it tells my "This PS3 has been disconnected from the media server", signing me out and then telling me that an error occurred while downloading.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Edit: Not only does it disconnect me, if the download time is left to accumulate but it seems to be killing my router so that it needs to be restarted. Wut.

Go to setting/network settings/media server connections and disable it. Some people have a problem with the media server messing up there network even if they have no server connected, or if it is not properly set up.
