Does anyone know of a timeline for the PSN video store's opening in Canada?

It's because of some copy-right laws. So it's up to whoever is in charge of that law to allow it.

But we are both North America, so it shouldn't be too hard to get the movies here.

I'd imagine that these type of negotiations are becoming streamlined.  There are numerous music download services that require copyright agreements and the iTunes video store is now available in Canada (which has likely set copyright precedents for video content).  Perhaps we'll see the service close to when it launches in Japan in September.

I don't think that will work because America and Canada share the same store anyways. It's both North America. I think it's an IP address thing.
