Alright, so this is basically a post to find out exactly WHAT remote play is. I kind of get the concept of playing games off your PS3 on your PSP, and I actually tried it with the Pixeljunk Monsters demo. But why would anyone want to play any game on a tiny screen, as opposed to just playing it on their TV? Just need clarification of the benefits of remote play.

Wow this shot way down. Nobody knows why remote play even exists?

Quite a few reasons:

If you're playing a PSone/downloadable game, and your girlfriend wants to use the TV to watch Food Network for a while, you can keep playing through remote play.

You can log onto your PS3 remotely. Meaning if you're at a wireless hotspot anywhere, you can access movies/music/games on your PS3 wirelessly. So I know I've brought my PSP to work and while waiting for an experiment to finish have on occassion watched movies streaming off my PS3.

I'd imagine a lot of the use for it is to stream movies/music, not just games.
