    Sony has kept -- or lost -- my Rock Band game when I sent my PS3 in for service.  Lame.

    First call

    Me: "Uhm, yeah, you forgot to send my game back."
    Them: "What game?"
    Me: "Rock Band.  I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "Did you write on the form that there was a game stuck in the console?"
    Me: "...yes, I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "We have no record of your game.  Are you sure you don't still have it?"

    Second call

    Me: "So, I double checked... I don't have the game anywhere at home."
    Them: "What game?"
    Me: "Rock Band.  I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "We have no record of your game.  Are you sure you don't still have it?"
    Me: "I'm sure."
    Them: "Did you write on the form that there was a game stuck in the console?"
    Me: "...yes, I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "Oh, well, we ship the games back separately from the console.  Wait a few days and see if it shows up."

    Third call

    Me: "I haven't received my game yet."
    Them: "What game?"
    Me: "Rock Band.  I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "We have no record of your game.  Are you sure you don't still have it?"
    Me: "I'm sure."
    Them: "Did you write on the form that there was a game stuck in the console?"
    Me: "...yes, I wrote on the form that it was stuck in the console."
    Them: "Could you fax us a copy of the form?"
    Me: "Wait.  What?  I don't have the form, I sent it with the console."
    Them: "You should have gotten the form back with the replacement."
    Me: "Nope.  I never got it."
    Them: "Oh, well, that would have shown us that you wrote on the form that there was a game stuck in the console."
    Me: --
    Them: "We'll do some stuff over here and we'll call you back in a few days."
    Me: --

    Will there be a fourth call?  Or more?  To be continued...

    lol. That sucks. It looks like you got a really dumb guy on the other end of the phone.

    When i called sony customer service in the UK they were really helpful and got my problem fixed very quickly.

    Unlucky bud, they usually send the game straight back (had a buddy who's far cry 2 was stuck in, got it back within 3 days) hope you get it sorted soon!

    Hope this all gets solved, read up on your laws in case it doesn't and jsut write up a menacing lawyer-like letter saying you will sue for the game and they'll get off their asses and search for it or just give you a new one.

    Yeah, I would go with this. Most likely you won't see your RB disk again, so your best hope is to complain and they'll probably give you a PSN card or something similar.

    I love this kind of stuff! Not your misfortune, this comical incompetence. Now that the elections are over and Sarah Palin isn't putting her foot in her mouth as much, I need my new fix. Hopefully there is a fourth call and you can post it up here and hopefully fourth time is the charm. Just remember to tell them that you wrote on the form that your game was stuck in the console. ;)

    Ouch dude. When my PS3 broke both times, the people were extremely nice and did whatever they could to get my box/coffin to me, and my new PS3 back ASAP. I would say you're screwed, one of the guys probably threw the game away by accident, something stupid like that. You can always buy Rock Band 2 (coming out soon, I think).

    If all else fails, just buy it used from Amazon.com Marketplace.  21 bucks for the cheapest copy. I picked up my 360 copy for about 20 bucks... also got a set of wired drums for 27.

    LOL, that sucks dude. I hate sending stuff away for repair - when dealing with big companies. It just passes through so many hands - so many things can happen. Buddy who fixed er up prob tossed the disc in the garbage.

    damn thats aggrevating. never knew anyone with any ps3 problems though, seems pretty rare. its shame man, i'd be pissed off big time. 

    yesterday i went to the store, came back, and found that my dog chewed up one of my sixaxis controllers! MANGLED dude. lol radioshack is selling $30 dual shock 3's friday, so im buy a few of those babies!

    Me: "The RMA form and my Rock Band game were never returned to me after having my console serviced.  I was told I would receive a call about my missing game from the service center within two days... that was five days ago."
    Them: "Ok.  Let me review your service history."

    Them: "I see that you said you wrote on the form that there was a game stuck in the console."
    Me: "Yes, Rock Band."
    Them: "Rock Band 1 or 2?"
    Me: "The first one."
    Them: "Ok.  I see the service center definitely should have called you.  Let me call them."

    Of course I know that.  And I do appreciate that, each time, they let me explain the situation rather than just reading my call history and telling me what they think is going on.  I rather liked the person I spoke with on my fourth call.
