Does anyone actually buy strategy guides anymore?

Strategy Guides
Only if I love a game so much that I want extra reading material on it. I loved Assassin's Creed so much that I bought the guide just so I had something about it to read. It also came with the art book so I was happy as hell. I don't buy them for the actual strategy though.
I always picked up the strategy guide with most GTA games. Finding secret packages/killing pigeons/side missions/getting 100% just easy to have the guide next to you instead of internet printouts or sneaking views at the pc screen. Besides that, if I ever need a reference I use the internet.
I have the guides for just about every Final Fantasy game I bough. Now I really don't bother buying the guides though.
"Like I said, not really for the strategy.Yeah, mainly just see what the side quests were. Since sometimes they aren't up online for a few weeks after the game is released.

For me it depends on the game, so far this gen. I have bought the guide to GTA IV, RaCF:ToD, and Assassins Creed. I like to look at them, and i use them if i get stuck or something like that.

I don't buy them. And yeah the internet maybe be a pain as to a guide right next to you hey it's free.:P I guess you get what you pay for.:(
"I have one for The Orange Box and GTA IV biggest waste of money ever."And so you bought two...
"I have one for GTA and I only looked at it for like 10 minutes then quit."So why did you purchase such an expensive thing if you weren't even going to read it? O_o
I never bought a guide separately. I have the strategy guide for Starcraft, Brood War, Warcraft II B.Net edition, and Diablo II. All were from the Battle Chest, so they were kind of forced upon me, but I checked them out and I found the Diablo II guide quite useful. Other than that I just use the net. If I get stuck somewhere I just load of gamefaqs and find what I'm looking for in a couple seconds then I'm done. I don't see any point in buying them.
Usually if I am really into the game to the point of just wanting it so I can enjoy the game more by finding stuff or whatever, but usually no. I think the last one I bought was for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas back in 2004 and thats just because the game was totally massive.
"LOLYeah I had some for my pokemon games. Where did I put them......
For a Pokemon game XD
