If you've ever said to yourself, "Man, I'd really like a white PS3 slim with a bigger hard drive," check yourself: Sony is poised to release a white PS3 slim with a bigger hard drive, at least in Japan. 

The white PS3 slims will ship in two flavors: 350GB for the rabid downloader in all of us, and 160GB for the sensible game installer. These models will also be available in standard black, replacing the 120GB and 250GB currently lining store shelves (via Kotaku).

Not horrible looking, but I prefer the black ones still. This white PS3 just reminds me of those awful PS3 ads when it just launched, with the white room.... ugh.

It's only a $60 dollar difference for an extra 160 gigs, why would anyone not buy the $400 model?

You know, I bet there is a very slim market (haha pun) who bought the black wii and 360 slim to have everything match, and now they are really really angry.

They need to sell the white Dual Shock in the US so I can get it at a reasonable price

Kind of weird to see an all white PS3 with physical buttons after the new all black 360s with touch buttons. I have a White Dualshock 3, I imported it a good while before Dualshock 3 made it to North America. 
 
Though I really don't care about any Slim PS3, unless they suddenly have hardware support for PS2 games again. Just have to hope my 60gb never dies, on my 3rd 360 and 2nd Wii so the PS3 is the only one to stand the test of time and I use my PS3 tons so fingers crossed.

I don't like it. It's too big to be that white.

I want a red one.  I've yet to own a red console and I'm always looking for new colors.

Okay, won't be getting another PS3 unless my current one breaks. And if it does, I might just focus on PC.

Is the PS3 Slim not able to have it's hard-drive easily swapped out like with the fat model?

Won't buy it, don't want it. 250Gb slim (black - the color of real consoles) is exactly in my needs.

Stick in a 500 and then we'll be talking, but I'm still getting a PS3 this September and it's still guna be a fatty, and I'll stick in the 500 myself.
