I think this is for people like me, too stupid to know how to buy speakers.   Joke is on them though, I am also too stupid to be bothered by my current  poor sound experience.

Brad you should try introducing him to some healthy eating to mellow him out. It seems to be working for you. Unless your neighbor's Bas Rutten I can't imagine there being anything stopping you from taking him out. The speakers look nice, but I don't see why it doesn't have a center channel if it's just one big bar like that. Seems like a bit of a waste and a little on the pricey side if I do say so.

Design-wise it looks great, really follows the PS3 well.

Price is too high, though I wouldn't be surprised to see some good discounts on Amazon and Buy.com for it.

Hopefully there will be some good sales for this around xmas, maybe I would consider picking it up then.  $200 seems a little steep.

$200 isn't that bad if the sound is good enough. I have a 7.1 Surround system at home and it cost way more than $200 just for the receiver. The pieced together sound system is still the way to go, imo. It is a bigger investment, but you just have to look at it as more of an investment that you will keep for years.

price wise this seems normal for a soundbar. 
soundbars are for people who also value space and simplicity, its not going to compete with full fledge sound system.

Actually pretty excited for this. My PS3 was a replacement for a home-theater-in-a-box unit, so when the DVD player went, so did the 5.1 channel speakers. 
 
At this point, it would be cheaper to buy this than a receiver/speaker package anyway. Thanks Sony!

if this works well with films then MAYBE when i dont want to use my 5.1 witch leaves wirers accross my floor
