Like so many things from my youth I hope they leave it there. I loved that game a ton but part of its charm was when it was made and how it looks for its time. It is nice to be able to play games again but I feel that instead of doing the cash grab of remaking old games I want to see studios come up with new stuff and hopefully wow us with something else.

Now if they had to do it would be an absolute must to update the graphics. If they don't everyone might as well just pull out their old Playstations and put it in.

I think at one time I would've been excited, but at this point I'm just waiting for it. They've been milking that series for so much at this point that a remake is inevitable, regardless of what Square-Enix is claiming. I mean, latest rumors is that it is going to get announced at TGS this year, so we'll see what happens.

I would be really happy because I thought it was a great game but also relieved as well. Can get every single 'Final Fantasy WHAT IF?!' exclusive post on any forum on the entire internet and get those people to shut up for the sake of the city and humanity.

I spent 100+ hours playing the original (while laid up with a broken neck), so once I was finished with it, I was truly finished with it.

It's going to take more than HD graphics for me to get pumped about a FVII remake. I think I'd rather see them announce an FFVII-2, maybe something that takes place post-Advent Children. A straight up remake of the first game just doesn't get me that excited...to be honest.

It would be awesome considering I never did play the original. But I would hope that they wouldn't screw up anything.

I'd be pretty shocked (because the possibilities of it actually happening are slim to none) but I'd still look forward to a Threads of Fate remake / sequel.
