Will PS3 Games Bought In The US's Online Play Work On An EU PS3?

Ok, I have a question.

I am heading over to Florida in October on holiday, and I have saved up a **** load of cash to buy some games, cause they are so much cheaper than in the UK.

One question though, if I buy, for example, Little Big Planet over there, I know it will work on my PS3 bought from the UK, but will the online play work? I wasn't sure about this cause I thought that maybe DLC and stuff for Little Big Planet would maybe be region coded?

Same question for Rock Band 2? If I buy it over there, will the DLC I buy from the EU Store work with it?

As far as I know, most PS3 games are region free, so they should work, as for LBP user contenet, i'll assume it's tied to the region your PSN ID is registered in. RB2 DLC I have not a clue about.

Rock band DLC does not work. I think LBP will be an exception where all content is not region locked.

I think, that online works but you have to connect to the region from where the games is from server so theretically you will get a lot of lag, but the RB store should work but you have to create an account for the region where you bought the games as well.

so - US game + us account = should work

They should work, when you get to Florida you should stay there so you dont have to worry about a German invasion.
