It's almost time folks!

What is turning out to be the most (over?) hyped gaming event of the last few years is upon us.

How/Where will you be watching the event? I sadly have gone over my data cap, so it looks like I need to watch at the library...

Might as well throw in predictions for the event, too:

Gran Turismo, Uncharted HD, Ratchet and Clank, maybe three new Vita games, and then Gaiki talk for about a half hour. I feel the HD collection will be perfect because side by side shots of how much better games can look on the machine compared to its predecessor is going to be a big selling point. I also wouldn't be too surprised if we see a PS4 + Vita bundle announced.

@damisterchief: Sadly, I have to agree. While I love my Vita, no one seems to want it bad enough to drop the money for it.

Packaging it in would be a great way to move software, and make developers more interested.

Packaging a Vita in with the PS4 would definitely improve my chances of buying it. I already have a dozen games to play on it thanks to PS+

I know it's not very likely, but it's going to be soooo funny if this turns out to not be about Playstation 4. They way every news outlet is gearing up with Playstation retrospectives and hype makes it ripe for delicious irony.

I'm so excited! The idea for the controller seems pretty nice so I'm curious to see what they do with it, also I think the share button or whatever is really cool.

I'm really excited for this. I really really hope this is a PS4 announcement, though...

Also, I'm waiting for that PSN $10 "loyalty" credit still. Do I need to own a PS3 or a PS Vita for it (I own just a PSP)?

Excited, don't care if I'm disappointed. The simple fact that it as me excited in the first place is enough, after last years E3 which felt stale, dead and a clear indication how desperate we were for something fresh and new.

My prediction is?..... It's gonna be the new PLAYSTATION ya'll!!!

I just hope they don't pad it out with something wholly uninteresting, al la Wonderbook, instead of what we're actually watching for.

I just want it to have hardware that shows that they intend for it to be around for a while. There's been some concerns on the memory side but what the hell do we know, really.

I think you might have to double stream it. There is probably some legal bullshit that might prevent the crew from broadcasting it. Let's hope that's not the case.

Just out of curiosity, how many of us here have a Vita already? Someone at Sony said earlier today that they are going for a huge Vita push this year, specifically regarding software. If this event focuses even 15 minutes on Vita, I would be super happy.

Oh, what is everyone doing while they're waiting for the stream? I'm just playing some Corpse Party.

@zaccheus: Its listed on the front page schedule as a Live Show, so I'm hoping for both video stream+chat.

@azurath: Nah, I don't have a Vita. I got a 3DS instead. But the Vita has P4G, so that's pretty cool.

Also, did anyone else get the $10 credit? I don't know how to check if I got it, as the PSP doesn't have an "inbox" or something... :(

I mean they are going to be shooting themselves watching the stream, I hope they can just overlay the Sony stream but you never know.

My only hope is to hear what they are doing with PSN. I want to know if it will remain free to play online. I personally only play games online maybe two weekends out of the year. I don't see a point in paying for a service that I use for four days, and never for the other 361 of the year.

That is almost entirely my deciding factor this coming console generation. The current generation, I got a 360, and was a Live subscriber for several years. These days, I don't have time for it, but there are rare occasions where a friend or family member from a different state ask if I want to play a game with them.

One can only hope they don't turn PSPlus into a requirement to play online.

@zaccheus: Why would Sony want to limit the stream in any way? Sounds counterproductive for an announcement event.

I don't see why they wouldn't have the stream, most other places are hosting the live stream as well.

Look forward to graphs. Lots of graphs. About two hours of graphs. An hour and a half of it talking about sales numbers.

Then maybe a new system or something, I dunno. It'll look like a parabola or some shit.
