Yeah I suppose that's OK.

PlayStation 4 is Sony's fourth home video game console, released on November 15, 2013 in North America, and November 29, 2013 in Europe. On November 10 2016, Sony released the Playstation 4 Pro, an updated version of the console targeting 4K gaming.
PS4 supposedly releasing November 17th with base model $429
@bitcloud: Yeah I'm taking advantage of those 800 point pre-order deals with cheaper upcoming titles like Animal Crossing and the Pokemon games. Best deal I got from BB was Sly Cooper when the official price dropped to $40. They still put the $5 off for a couple hours by accident and it must of caused a problem with their system because it gave me 1600 reward zone points instead of the usual 800. I tend to use my Reward Zone certificates for PSN cards so it feels like I'm getting free cash.
All in all Best Buy is pretty good and I only buy my games from them or Amazon when going retail. I've been burned with Future Shop shipping in the past, dented up collector's editions, so I tend to avoid them although they might have gotten better.
I have a feeling Sony will go aggressive Digital Day 1 on PS4, in the same vain as Vita with all first party titles getting a slight discount on PSN.
@jonny_anonymous: remember, US pricing is always minus Tax. You're probably looking at a £349 / £449 price tag in the UK (VAT inclusive).
@troll93: At this point my plan is to wait at least a few months to see how each console goes before I decide which one to get (first) and by that point see how the prices are etc. I understand that our goods have taxes on them that American ones don't and that we have far more money on average than Americans but that doesn't make up for the price gap.
That's not at all an unreasonable price, or an unreasonable date. But there are lots of reasonable prices and dates.
This is really the best answer right now. We don't know anything for certain, so anything that sounds right is an acceptable rumor.
I bought my original 360 for $399.99 so I guess another $50 wouldn't hurt. Also I tend to lean towards the base models if they let me expand the hard drive myself.
The $429 number was only a rumored price based on the ~40000 yen price touted elsewhere.
However, there is a significant precedent for systems that are priced along a certain bracket in Yen to be at a similar bracket in Dollars. So while 40,000 yen is closer to $429 USD, they might be willing to swallow the loss and sell it for $399.99 to have the talking point of "under 400."

Who said this? Have a link? I'm not aware of Sony saying any such thing.
