I won't be surprise if Sony decides to get rid of the stream feature. People do stupid shit all the time and this was bound to happen. I can just imagine the news getting a hold of this and going wild. Parents would be in a uproar to keep their kids away, and Sony would be in deep trouble.

I only checked it a few times, and yeah, it's filled with titles of 'hot girl on couch' and some girl is just sitting there on a couch, and commenters saying "show us your boobs". I left. It's just awkward. I never watched enough to have someone have sex or masturbate though, and I'm glad. Oh, and the news here already talked about it, but it wasn't much of anything, it was just about how parents can't lock that content from their kids.

One time I've popped on just watching a half-naked girl with her boyfriend. Reading the comments was just hilarious. The people kept trying to get them to have sex during the stream. They did afew sexual acts, but nothing too far. Anyway seems like some youtubers are aware of the amateur porn going on in the ps4 community.

This has been going on since launch. Would not allowing streaming of the playroom even fix it? You could just turn on the camera and stream any game right? The window would be smaller, but that won't stop people.

The only thing I can think of is that Sony can setup a policy. Where if you break it then you get into trouble with the law.

If people wanna stream themselves banging, then go for it.

Who cares? It's not hurting anyone. Seems kinda win win. If people wanna have sex and stream it, cool. If people wanna watch people streaming them having sex, then cool.

If it gets monetized then thats a big issue, but can't you not monetize playroom streaming already?

Don't know if people can monetized it or not, but I can see this becoming a bad trend for kids or teens. I can just picture fox news just doing a story about kids making porn on ps4.

I doubt Sony wants this associated with their brand, and probably don't wanna be known as the guys who will sell you the box where people stream themselves fucking to the fuckwatchers. Especially not when they're trying to sell these things to families. A businessman somewhere might say "hey lets make a dedicated fucking box, people seem to like this idea" and maybe that will go somewhere, but you'd be crazy to think this would be a good direction for Sony. Especially now when they need good press (and are actually getting it).

I heard it on GiantBomb.com that after the first incident (guy with the drunk wife) Sony or Twitch decided to can this thing because we can't have nice things. If you want to watch amateur porn or want to submit your own, then search the internet and within 10 seconds you will find what you want, so why poison the fucking well?

Turns out it was only Twitch that stopped accepting Playroom, Sony and Ustream haven't done anything yet.

exactly. Sony, Ustream and Twitch have no interest in people doing stupid things...but it is on those people when other people see their stupidity. There will be a lot of "we're looking into it"and "we take this very seriously", but they will just ban people not shut down any services.

Nothing is going to happen to people's ability to stream games because Sony know THAT is part of what has put them on top so far...the freedom, the weirdness, and the 'do you see what i just saw?'. Sony has a ton of deniability with the crap people do on cameraand the people who choose to tune into different feeds. They will just keep looking into it, being committed to making it better, etc.

LOL! some of those ps4 vids got publish to porn websites. Knowing me I ended up watching some for the hell of it. Reading the comment section from the ps4 streams was hilarious.

Sony should get on this. You should be able to tune in and watch people beat the shit out of each other or fuck the shit out of each other, I don't care...don't ban these people, embrace it, put all the content warnings you want and make sure there's no monetization but let people do what people do. They are just going to find another avenue to do it if you kick em out.

If your going to fuck on camera, why not use a site where you can get paid, rather than getting your PSN and twitch account banned?

If someone enjoys being an exhabitionist that's cool, but there's a place for it (and it's not on The Playroom). Exposing yourself to minors is still illegal as well as minors exposing themselves to adults.

I've seen people smoke meth and strip (in the same stream). Playroom streams are bananas. I watch it with a sick curiosity. I have no interest in watching people have sex on my PS4, but I do like seeing the crazy ass shit they do on there.

This is all really funny. It's probably up to Sony to do something about this (if they want to) because Ustream has always seemed pretty...lax about what they let on their service. Anyways, I'm sure this has been going on since launch; if you give people a way to stream themselves easily you're gonna get some people using it for fucking.
