Cancel your credit card you used for your ps3 asap!!!

Get outta' here with this, quit spreading your paranoia. There is no reports of anything yet so...I hardly doubt this happened to you and if it did, then it was used by someone else and had nothing to do with the PSN.
Any chance these incidences were purely coincidental? I too have my information on PSN, and am pretty bummed out about this whole mess... but could your circumstance be merely coincidental. Chances are you use your credit card for more than just buying Avatars and DLC on PSN. I dont mind people warning about stuff that happens or just telling people about what has happened to your credit cards in general... but dont just say that you seen reports of things that have happened and tell everyone to cancel all their cards and whatnot. Without evidence you're merely a homeless person holding a sign reading "THE END IS NEAR!"
not coincidental, never had my credit card # stolen till today , whats happend since then oh yeah psn gets hacked. im very careful with my information period its the only way it got out there. im a network admin for a living no spyware no bullcrap on my boxes. you can cry bs all you guys want but your information is out there period. sony is not gonna flat out and tell people there credit card #s were stolen , imagine how many class action lawsuits would come just from that theres 70 million ps3 users. sony didnt encrypt the credit card # data which is where the problem lies.
If I had a PSN account, I would have canceled my credit card and changed passwords on day one. Y'all are dumb.
this is how psn logs your information this is taken from this forum a hacker log chat... so its not real data but this is why sony fd up the server it self was encrypted but the data was not.
so imagine this database hackers managed to get 2 million of these and trys to go underground to sale it to the highest bidder its like a fucking movie.
so you open a file and bam theres your info.

" Mine was used to purchase Madagascar. Not the film either. God knows how i'll explain this to the bank. "You'd think that would raise a red flag with the bank.
if you don't cancel your credit card as soon as you hear that it might be compromised, you're a sucker, in my opinion.
" I had my CC cancelled and re-issued about 20 minutes after this news first broke. Got the new one today. Cost me nothing but 4 days without a physical card.It also puts your mind at ease. Which in my book is pretty good.Excessive? Maybe but it was easy and I would've been an idiot to pretend I was untouchable."

coincidence is bs psn was hacked its still down 21 states of fbi branches are involved in this shit. my card was used , more people will follow you guys will laugh and tease which is fine but karma is a bitch. too many people getting fraud charges after all this psn shit went down it only makes fucking sense.
" @Towers said:Exactly. Now if only that Nigerian Prince would get back to me... all my money issues would be solved!" I had my CC cancelled and re-issued about 20 minutes after this news first broke. Got the new one today. Cost me nothing but 4 days without a physical card.It also puts your mind at ease. People , think about it is sony gonna flat out tell you 70 million credit card#s were stolen + all your info name, pasword, address, ccv#,cc# they have everything but your ss#. hell no sony is already gonna be in hot water over the mess. banks are loosing over 300 million just to replace credit cards. i dont get why you check ps blog and it flat says your cc# was comprimised but they cant say it legally so they tell you in other ways.
you ... here if the banks had to replace that many cards at 5 bux a pop

ya thats the problem , i think this is only the beginning sony is gonna get alot of shit from this , this really could hurt them period. it already is hurting users/devs/playstation . i just think the ps blog right now says it all they legally cant tell you your cc# was stolen but they sure do get around that loophole with what they have on there, basically telling you hey your info is out there you should cancel your crap.
i was not trolling just letting people know to cancel there cc# they used on psn. and the cynics out there wanna be asses its ok, i dont care if they loose money its not mine to loose. i got frauded today now im getting flamed its cool.
maybe if you might could try convincing peoples of this stuff without grammar skills of a poodle we guys could listen better to the story you gots. Dipshit.
Me not so smart, but Sony doesn't save your security code. And with every online purchase I've ever made(Which is a lot), they require your security code to verify the purchase being made.
Can someone explain how these purchases are being made if the security code isn't there? And, doesn't that defeat the purpose of a security code?
" Mine was used to order itty bitty gang bang...goddamn hackers!... "Yeah... Hackers >.>
" so the previous one on PSN is expiring end of this month. However, that doesn't make this nonsensical ranty thread any less amusing. "
" @DetectiveSpecial said:That's why I threw in the "dipshit". Also, this guy is clearly a dipshit." maybe if you might could try convincing peoples of this stuff without grammar skills of a poodle we guys could listen better to the story you gots. Dipshit. "Not sure if the irony is purposeful. "
