I really wish sony would put out more ps1 classics on psn.

#1 Edited by JZ (2125 posts) -

If there was the entire ps1 catalog available for download, I'd buy a whole nother ps3 just to fill it will ps1 games. I'm getting old and need to buy the 90s back, and if it's downloadable no need to switch discs or deal with hunting down ps1 memory cards. PSN japan has 10 times the ps1 classics as we do, that's bullshit.

every week i hope for strider 2 to hit the store and every week i end up dissapointed

#3 Posted by JZ (2125 posts) -

I want square's entire ps1 line. I want capcom's entire ps1 line. I want digimon world 1, tomba 2.

#4 Posted by TruthTellah (8573 posts) -

That... would be nice.

Though, I'd somewhat say the same of Nintendo with their back catalog. If they just put more of the tons of games in their back catalog up for download, I might just get a Wii U and 3DS and buy all of my old games on them.

#5 Edited by Soapy86 (2620 posts) -

I would kill to get the Mega Man Legends games on there. Unfortunately there are legal hoops that Capcom isn't willing to jump through.

#6 Posted by JZ (2125 posts) -

Damn you inafune. You've not only killed future megaman you've killed past magaman too. I can take pride still in that fact that I still own both the mml games and the misadventures of tron bonne. Three of the best games ever made.

#7 Posted by Hizang (8533 posts) -

MGS1 is already on there, what more do you need?

Yes. I want to see Brave Fencer Musashi too (it's JP PSN only)

I wish they would start putting out a massive amount of PS2 Classics.

This pretty much sums up my feelings. Most of the major PS1 releases I like have seen a release, save for Suikoden 2, but there are tons of PS2 games I'd love to see get a re-release. There were so many great RPGs from that era.

Many of those games have been re-released in HD Collections, which I have to assume are profitable endeavors since they just keep churning these out. If games like Ico, Shadow of the Colossus or the first three Devil May Cry games had been available for download on the PlayStation store these original versions would probably deviate sales from HD collections since they'd also most likely be cheaper.

Those are not the games I want though. I want the RPGs like mentioned. The ones that are not trilogy. You know, the actual good games.

So you think the Devil May Cry games, the Prince of Persia games, the Jak games, the God of War games aren't good?

#15 Posted by Sterling (2085 posts) -

That is correct.

#16 Posted by Superfriend (1535 posts) -

I approve of trying to buy the 90s back!! Getting old on the other hand kinda sucks.

Not sure why the selection of games is so small, maybe it´s because of emulation troubles? Also, the store in its current form would not be good enough to flip through the entire PSone library.

I really just want Dark Cloud 1/2 on there. As someone that basically got a PS2 originally for DC1 it seems crazy that it isn't.

#18 Posted by A_Cute_Squirtle (680 posts) -

Man, I'd buy the hell out of the old Digimon World games.

#19 Posted by SomeJerk (3159 posts) -

What's keeping them from doing this is all about licensing and other stupid things. Also see Earthbound.

Now check out the Japanese PSN.

#23 Posted by Fredddi43 (322 posts) -

I'm still hoping for the Harry Potter games, the 2nd one is ridiculously expensive here. I love those early 2 games, they always will be childhood memories for me.

Until they get all of these onto PSN, I won't be buying a PS3.
