Sick!!! I've already finished inFamous but don't mind re-playing it.

Sony Details PlayStation Network's 'Welcome Back' Plan
So if I eventually get a PS3, will those games still be free? Those are like 3/4s of the games I would buy if I would buy a PS3 (which is also the reason I wouldn't because 4 games are not worth a 300 dollar investment to me.)
Wow! I did not expect full retail games! I really thought they were going to give the crappiest and cheapest games on PSN. Well done sony!
I was gonna get LBP2, but if I get the first for free, might as well get that. Also, trying to decide between wipeout or dead nation....Even though I've never played Dead Nation, I would still have to urge you to download Wipeout HD. Especially with the Fury add-on. It's my most-played PSN game.
I play pretty such exclusively on my 360, so I was lucky enough to not be affected, but still get free stuff. I'll probably download inFamous and LBP.
Not a bad list. I haven't picked up a couple of those so these are welcome freebies. I'll probably be grabbing Dead Nation, Wipeout+Fury, LBP(PSP), Modnation Racers (PSP), the 100 free Home items ( I mean why not, it's free) and see what free movie rentals they have in the 'On us' section.
why not just give people like what, 50 bucks? thats about what 2 of those old ps3 and psp games would cost, and then just put a bunch of games (ie, those on the list) on sale and let people decide what they want. because this kinda sucks if youve had a ps3 (and/or psp) for years and you own all of those games already, but its great for newer owners who might have missed them. i just want the store back to get outland :(
Only one of those I don't own On the PS3 is Dead Nation. I guess Imfamous since I sold it a while back and regret it. As for the other.... I guess Dead Nation. PSP Modnation and LBP are cool for me.
@ drew327 No its totally LOGICAL. Your not going to mess up your own sales, you will do games which have more or less peaked in their sales.
I have 3 of the 5 games so Dead Nation and Wipeout are my new games. Dead Nation will likely end up like most of my PS+ games. Downloaded but never played. I'm sure I know people who have all 5 of the games though and I feel bad for them.
Not bad, I own a few of them but I think I'll checkout Wipeout and LittleBigPlanet maybe. I'm also really still thinking about buying a PSP and might check out those as well.
While I'm happy to be able to play Infamous for "free," I think the list from which we can choose should have been significantly larger. I feel that the people most affected by the PSN downtime will own most, if not all, of the games being offered. Something as simple as "pick any two games available on the PSN store as of [date on which the store comes online], no questions asked," seems like it could have worked, ignoring the logistics of how Sony would know to interpret each transaction. You know...since online infrastructure isn't their strongest suit.
It will be nice to have LBP to import stuff into LBP 2. I wish I didn't already own inFamous and WipeOut though.
It's kind of funny that the most loyal customers are getting screwed over because they already own most of these games while people who rarely play their PS3 get a good selection.
I would have been happier if they had offered nothing rather than that list. This is the list you expect when a company doesn't want to spend any money. It's mostly hugely popular stuff that has sold jillions of copies and is now cheap. It's transparent and doesn't feel like a gift. It feels like the least they think they can get away with.
