Exposing more people to inFamous can only be a good thing.

Sony Details PlayStation Network's 'Welcome Back' Plan
Kind of annoying the best two offerings are two games that pretty much everyone already owns and that have sequels. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth as I'll enjoy Wipeout, but I'd prefer some cold hard cash to pick out some PSN games. As is it mostly seems like a promo for LBP2 and Infamous 2 and the other parts of the PSN service.
@Floppypants said:Full retail games, both highly rated.Sony's really making a huge sacrifice giving away valueless games.THIS!inFamous is $10 LBP (w/o GOTY DLC (w00t for abbreviations)) is probably close to the same.Whoopty friggen doo.
I've been meaning to download Superstardust HD for a while, so this is good news. Not too thrilled about much else though, but it's free, so I guess I won't complain.
I like how some people think developers should suffer because PSN went down for a month. Yeah new games aren't going to be given out for free, if this surprises you you have a serious lack of grasp on reality. If you buy everything Sony makes the moment it comes out what do you expect.
The only game on that list that I own is LBP for the PSP, so this is pretty great news. Can't wait to play some inFamous and Wipeout. And maybe some Killzone Liberation, whatever kind of game that is.
There doesn't seem to be a catch. The free PS3 and PSP games are separate from PSN+, meaning you'll keep them forever. I don't think you need to be online to play them as that's not usually the case with games downloaded from PSN (with a few exceptions). But if your disc drive is broken, I'd recommend getting it fixed ASAP, otherwise you're really going to miss out on a lot of great PS3 games this year.If someone could get back to me that'd be great. Is this a download and keep forever deal? You can only play online or something? What's the catch? My ps3's disc drive is broken so this comes at a perfect time for me
Kind of a mediocre "welcome back". But free content is free. Don't think this will make it up, in my eyes, however.
So those of us who actually have games already get... nothing?
PSN+ member so that month isn't good for me. Own LBP, Infamous, Wipeout, And Ratchet and Clank so that leaves Deadnation? Something I couldn't care less about.
I understand that they can't give new games away just like that but still, a little more variety would have been great.
Damn there just really is no pleasing everyone. I own almost all of these games already but that doesn't upset me at all. I'm just glad to get my hands on dead nation, I was interested but after the QL it just felt like it wasn't worth it. Now since it'll be free it'll be fun to play with a friend who can take advantage of this too.
This feels like the birthday present from heil.
Elderly relatives from God know how far away with a gift, nicely wrapped, real classy.
"I heard you liked those video games!" Big smiles all around, your excitement is building.
Pac-man for the 2600. A quick nudge from your mother, the sting of guilt in the back of your mind: "THANKS!"
I have none of those. Can't wait to get infamous and wipeout. Infamous 2 seems more interesting now, might pay attention to it.
infamous, dead nation, lbp and modnation racers, free sony movie rentals for a weekend, a month of keep my discounted games and try out features of plus and finish the free games if i want (not to mention it's gonna be a double month of content for the free month) and a reason to fire up home with my 100 free items and check out an alien casino.
gee what a shitty ass deal, sony your really bending me over a barrel
i can go ahead and save myself 70 dollars (la noire w tax) and play a bunch of stuff for free... the horror
not to mention the fact i don't have to pay 60 dollars a year for the priveledge of playing game demos ala XBOX live
and a good 6 months to a year of sony working their ass off giving me compelling reasons to enjoy my PS3 ohhh god their such bastards.
try not to cry while you guys are all downloading your free stuff from your 3 psn accounts and duping content onto multiple ps3's you whining asshats.
This is a very poor way to compensate Sony's core users. [Comments on EU lineup follow] LBP and Infamous are likely owned by most, Wipeout seems to have been reduced in price in various promotions, if you care about Ratchet and Clank you already own it (if you don't why would you want a game that fills the gap between the plot of two games you don't own?) and dead nation just seems to be pretty bad.
Nice, LBP and wipeout for me, being a waiter payed off, pretty much sucks for most people who actually own them.
I'm so glad PSN is back! That Welcome Back package looks pretty good, unfortunately I have all the the North American games except for Dead Nation, which is supposed to be kind of bad. Sucks but, it must be exciting for all the people who for some reason skipped LBP and inFamous, both of which are amazing games.
