Playstation Plus members are paying extra money to enhance there online experince, with online down they are still paying for services that they can not accsess.
Giant Bomb gave us members extra days, WHAT WILL SONY DO!
That would be nice, yes. I think they'll offer up something for everyone, not just Plus members (I'm a Plus member myself.) I'd bet on that, actually. Plus member or not, lets not forget that we did all pay $300+ dollars for a Playstation 3 with an expectation that everything would work as advertised -- PSN has been down for quite awhile and this will likely drag on for at least an entire week, and that's a long time.
Will it be anything cool? I seriously doubt it. Free copies of Super-rub-a-dub FOR ALL!
They don't have to do something for everyone but they should if they're smart. Sony has been fucking up royally with their system getting cracked and now PSN getting torn down. And If it turns out that people's information was stolen. . .
If it comes back up in the next day or two, then they wont, nor should they. They are certainly not entitled to, its in the Terms of Service. But if this goes past a full week of downtime, then I think they might throw us a bone. And they wont give it to only PS+ members, they'll treat all their users the same. No need to piss off your user base anymore than they have.
They should give something to everyone just like Microsoft did when they went down for an extended period. I think it was Frogger or something. Anyway, I believe that Sony will do something for Playstation Plus subscribers but I doubt the rest of the masses will get much more than a "shit happens" shrug.
