I was looking in the Dead Space strategy guide at work a couple days ago and noticed something interested. In the breakdown of the trophies for the game it listed a points value for each one. 15 for Bronze, 30 for Silver, and so forth. I don't think I've ever seen this again anywhere else. Basically, do trophies have points values or is this just something that particular strategy guide made up?

The strategy guide probably had the numbers for achievements. Maybe you haven't heard, but Dead Space is on the Xbox as well.

Thats correct, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum each carry a % or value. Call it XP. Once you reach an X amount of points, you lvl up in your profile. But unlicke 360, not all games carry the same amount of points in their trophies.

Yea they do, but only on the back end. I saw a breakdown of the system a while back which showed how many points you need for gaining levels and how much the individual trophies count for.

I dont think that can be right though. I mean, Im lvl 7, but I dont really think I have more than 6k points.

Add up your trophies using the guide and you should have around 6000. Im level 7 (30%) And I have 6700 "points"

I am not even to a thousand yet, I only got around five or six trophies. I just got my PS3.
