    We're moving into August and the release schedule is heating up, so I'm here with another rundown of current and upcoming games for the PlayStation Vita. As usual, this list is focused on the North American market, with Europe and Japan exclusive titles in their own sections below.

    Heading off this months retail releases is the Akibahara vampire fighting adventure Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed from XSEED, followed by an enhanced port of SRPG Disgaea 4, leading into fake MMO Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, and ending with full dose of Nep-Nep with Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 - a much improved remake of the first game in the series.

    We've also got a number of downloadable titles, headlined by the remaining games in the PLAY promotion - Hohokum, The Swapper, and Counterspy. Beyond that there's Vita exclusive infograpics platformer Metrico, cutesy beat 'em up Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds, mobile kart racer Table Top Racing, and the enhanced port of Gravity Crash.

    On the new game front, Anime Expo brought a few new localization announcements. NIS America will be bringing over RPG/"rehabilitation" sim Criminal Girls: Invite Only and 2D Ico-ish action-puzzle The Firefly Diary, while Aksys has gotten its hands on visual novel RPG Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters. Several downloadable titles were revealed as well, including 2D fighter Skullgirls: Encore, shooter Alien Shooter, and the kickstarted metroidvania Timespinner. There was also Korean age rating for The Unfinished Swan on Vita, we'll have to see if that one pans out.

    Japan also got a bunch of new games. See the list below for all of them, but the highlights include a sequel to Demon Gaze from Experience, Judas Code - a free to play third person shooter from tri-Ace, and Super Hero Generation, a cross-over SRPG with Gundam and Ultraman. Also a ton of visual novels, a lot of them for those of the otome persuasion.

    Anyway, we seem to be done. Come back next month for the glorious return of Monokuma in Danganronpa 2, as well as tactical turn-based combat in Kadokawa's SRPG Natural Doctrine.

    Going by Edmund Mcmillens tumblr, BoI: rebirth will probably be getting a release date announcement in a few months. Super hyped for that game on vita. Glad they announced the option to use the face buttons for shooting (analog sticks for UDLR directional shooting feels crappy).
