    We're in July, and it's my favorite time of the year for the Vita, since I don't have to choose between playing games and getting fresh air and sun. Anyway I'm back again with another edition of my monthly list of current and upcoming titles for the PlayStation Vita. As usual, this list is focused on the North American market, with Europe and Japan exclusive titles in their own sections below.

    More retail titles this month, as PS3 sci-fi RPG Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star makes its way to the Vita, while BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma gets its Extend update. Also coming is Lost Dimension a sci-fi 3D SRPG like Valkyria Chronicles, though admitedly with a much tighter budget. Download-wise, we're getting inides Squares and The Swindle, as well as a port of Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions (reportedly still 60 fps) and an expanded version of Deception IV.

    As for new games, while the Vita didn't have a big showing at the Sony press conference, plenty of new games and localizations still snuk out in the weeks before and after. Notable titles include World of Final Fantasy, Super Meat Boy, Minecraft: Story Mode, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and DJ Max spiritual successor Superbeat: Xonic. For localizations we got a confirmation of more Senran Kagura with Estival Versus, as well as the two most recent entries in Falcom's accalimed JRPG series Legend of Heroes - Trails of Cold Steel. Else, still a rumor as this point, but there has been some noise about the 2D Assassin's Creed Chronicles games getting a Vita port - maybe even a retail release. It's far from official at this point though.

    In Japan Bandai annouced a remake of the first God Eater, Gust a new Atelier game, and NIS revealed action horror game Yomawari. There were also tie-ins to anime/mangas Punch Line, Himouto! Umaru-chan, and an SRPG based on Seraph of the End. See below for the full list.

    And so, I think we're done for this month. Come back in August when US finally gets Steins;Gate on the Vita, as well as the litteral anime fighter Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax.

    That Superbeat: Xonic announcement is fantastic news. DJMAX Technika Tune is still one of my favorite Vita games, I'm happy to be getting even a spiritual follow up to that game.

    I am stupidly hyped for Lost Dimension. Trailers look pretty cool. Next month will be interesting because I'm not sure if I should get stains gate on Vita or just play it on PC

    Huh, didn't know Geometry Wars was coming to the VITA, might have to try that out if it's affordable. Thanks for the list!

    @rorie: I think it's PS+ this month, so I hope free isn't too expensive.

    @rorie: Yes, it's coming next week with PS Plus. There's a post about it on the PlayStation Blog. It's supposed to be a fully featured port running at a stable 60 fps.

    @blacklagoon: Hey man, do you happen to know if the Playstation TV is being discontinued?

    Most major US retailers (best Buy, Gamestop, Amazon) seemed to have slashed the base unit (the one without the controller or Lego pack in game) to $39.99

    @slag: Most likely they're just clearing stock that wasn't selling. There's certainly not been any announcements from Sony that's it's being discontinued.

    Pstv isn't discontinued. It hasn't sold well in the US.

    I think people don't like how it's not fully compatible with all vita games (like Gravity Rush)
