Another short bombcast. How about a 2 hour bombcast for regular uses and a 3+ hour bombcast for the paying man.

I've heard them ask a bunch of times why anyone would pre-order a game. Well, I've been pre-ordering everything for the last couple years now because some retailers have been giving $10-$20 gift cards with most of the big game releases.

So, I guess my answer is if I'm gonna be buying a game anyway, I'd rather get 20 bucks than not get the 20 bucks.

Drew's matter-of-fact "you're like the Nazis that way" (and the subsequent dead air) in response to Brad's painting looting cracked me up.

Bojangles also originated in NC.

Well I'm on vacation and I got nothing planned today so I might just sit here for the next 2 hours while doing nothing. Life is good.

@brad I had about the same experience with destiny on ps4. Only I have the added headache that sometimes in game chat would just cut out mid mission leaving it silent for little to no reason. Had better luck with the parties but, Both sounded shitty in their own way.

@jeff Is Dan the new guy who doesn't like driving? Here's a free idea for a video segment, take him to the local drag track on bracket racing day in whatever car you can get for what CBS will give you. Internet gold!

No more e-mails about feces. I don't find it entertaining as a form of scientific curiosity or a cheap laugh the way the topic is being brought up.

Mustard is taste delicious on hot dogs and sandwiches. You are suppose to shake the bottle before pour out the mustard.

I find it hilarious that IP laws in our world are so stupid that telling someone your idea can be considered a form of threat.

"Oh no, you've implanted the idea of a hobby-grade co-op FPS hero shooter in my brain! An idea so incredible that no one but you could ever have conceived it!! Now I have to spend the rest of my life making sure I don't accidentally make that game!!

But it's such a perfect, best-in-class, genre-defining paradigm that now it's all I can think about!!!

YOU'VE POISONED ME"

Brad mails make me sick, I know exactly the type of mail he likes...nefarious porn spam.

Also what's with this whole 2hr bombcast trend? I hope it's not what Jeff meant by saying "fuck up the podcast" this is the 4th one that's been ~2hrs...

@brad All of the Divinity games are set on the same world. Divinity Dragon Commander is actually set in the distant past of the world; there's no more magitech in the other games because they purposely destroyed every trace of it. It was all inspired by an archdemon who expected their use to turn the world into a scorching wasteland. After banishing the archdemon, the heroes decided magitech was too dangerous to keep around and destroyed any trace of it ever existing.

Divinity is old-school Ultima/Wizardry weird.

I like Dan and his lack of knowledge about some seemingly well-known topics, like World War II in Africa or the fact that drag racing is not about dragging something :D

Malt liquor discussion right out of the bat, Dan is a perfect fit for this classy podcast.

Haha, how do you go through 30 years of life in America without learning what drag racing is??

<3 Dan

How do you reach adulthood without knowing what Drag racing is?

Return of the Art Party Fortyhands Story!!

The anti-preorder crowd may have a point, but they don't understand how bad EB Games in canada is at gauging demand when putting in orders for new releases.

Expecting anything even the least bit niche to even arrive if you don't preorder is silly. I don't think it's just them trying to encourage preorders either - because they never advertise this fact, or push these games ahead of release.

I can't believe Jeff KEEPS trolling us about this Peter Dinklage thing! Sheesh!

Posted by GiantLizardKing

No Jason eh? So he isn't a regular on the Bombcast then?

Posted by AMyggen

Really good Wolfenstein discussion this week. And I agree with Jeff, the game just feels good to play (which isn't a big surprise given the developer).

Posted by gaminghooligan

Drew, I need to send you some real WV shine. Also, the homebrewers you guys know must be terrible, because if all you're worried about is alc % you're doing it wrong.

Posted by StraightGrizzly

I cannot believe that Dan "American Badass" Ryckert doesn't know anything bout drag racing. It's one of the most American things.

Posted by ripelivejam

@pwnmachine: id rather have a concise podcast that's solid all the way through than 3-4 hour ones that drag and meander a bit (though i'll admit even the gargantuan ones have still been a fun listen all the way through)

I can say with all honesty I am super disappointed that Cliffy B's new game is free to play.

Don't you know? Used games/cars/houses are immoral according to Cliffy B. This of course is a man who never had to worry about personal finances since he was a teenager, so he has little patience for non-rich people who just want to play games. Free to play means it can't be re-sold.

This is a real stain on the comments section.

@spitznock: You'd think there would be a lot of crossover between the pro-wrestling and funny car crowds.

I'm only like ten minutes into this but I haven't heard Jason. Am I just missing when he speaks or is he not in this one?

Posted by superslidetail

^ He's not in it

Posted by IAmNotBatman

@deegee: They brought Jason in for more of the video production side of things, we probably won't see him as much as Dan and the others.

There does seem to already be a trend of explaining things to him on the site lol.

@viking_funeral: I feel like the comparison floated around a lot for Divinity:OS is that it is like Ultima VII with its turn-based combat and serious levels of reactivity.

Either way, it's pretty fantastic and Brad should feel no guilt dropping the difficulty down to Easy because that game is sort of brutal.

Mustard is goddamn great, how can they be SO WRONG?

Edited by Chicken008

I approve of Brad and Drew's mustard tour.

If Jeff didn't know know who Peter Dinklage was he could have taken five seconds to type "dinkl" into Google and immediately found out. But he choose to go on twitter instead and inform everyone that he's still not sure who Peter Dinklage is... and then he complains people thought he was trolling.

And now Dan is going down the path of tweeting to remind everyone that he doesn't care about things that they might care about. There are probably better ways Jeff and Dan could use their time than this.

That slimey and smooth mustard you guys use in the states looks like baby diarrhea and i cant eat anything for at least 30min after seeing it.

Posted by Lurkero

@curufinwe: That could be part of an insular culture that constantly congratulates popular people for what they say or reverse psychology advertising for Giantbomb. "I don't care what you have to say!" [visits website and comments].

Another short bombcast. How about a 2 hour bombcast for regular uses and a 3+ hour bombcast for the paying man.

Not enough discussion about alcohol and feces? I thought the good stuff was exclusive to premium podcasts.

The recent concise podcasts have been impressive to me.

The thing about the Guitar Hero drums is, they make more sense for actual drumming than the four bongos the Rock Band kit uses. And you get used to the colors in Rock Band really quickly.
