Hopefully Jeff Gerstmann will save video games with this announcement.

Jeff has had radio training hasn't he? Surely?

Is it time for the latest from the world of video games?!

Man, Jeff is really good at these...

i listen to these, because i know i will hear jeff say 'giantbomb.com' at least once.

It's not really as easy as he makes it sound. I know nothing about radio and I know that...

Take me to your video game world, Jeff

Posted by Koobz

I would genuinely love it if one of these E3s the whole GB crew (west, central, and east) sit down and discuss the ludicrous media training techniques they've had shoved down their throats and/or intuited over years of screwing around.

Jeff and Vinny seem eerily good at this sort of thing even though (maybe because?) they're usually the first ones to go off rails and just goof around.

Bayonetta - Kind of amazing.

I love these. Way to go, Jeff.

So do these play on the radio ? What station ?

I am this close to getting a WiiU

Posted by mrsmiley

I have a WiiU, and have never even remotely had any interest in this game or the original. Considering I thought DMC was amazing, I may actually pick this up!

CHAINSAWS ON YOUR FEET... SOLD!

Edited by TournamentOfHate

So glad the sequel turned out this good, and without Kamiya at the lead of the project. That'd be like Dark Souls 2 being better than the first, but I guess in this case there was more room for improvement.

Posted by Luck702

I might track down a copy of Bayonetta 1. Who knows, I might end up with a Wii U by the end of the month for Bayonetta 2.

Really disappointed how rare these are.

He's only been podcasting for almost a decade.

Posted by Ockman

Where else do these play? These sound like a commercial you'd hear on another podcast or radio program. This sounds great for spreading the word about how good Bayonetta 2 is, but I don't know how much it serves if it's only heard here on the site.

Except Dark Souls 2 WAS better than Dark Souls 1, just not as good as Demon's Souls???

I'm just glad Bayonetta is apparently as great as the first one, I bought a Wii U pretty much entirely for it and Pikmin 3. Pikmin didn't disappoint, now it's all on the Bayo! Lick it up!

I know I say it everytime, but I love the production on these. Wish I had a Wii U to play this game but I'm holding out for Zelda for one. I;m sure there will be a price drop before then.

Good news, everyone! You get a port of the first Bayonetta packed-in!

@tournamentofhate: @hef: it's okay I know a lot of you rode the Dark Souls hype train, I did too until the game actually came out and was super disappointing after I liked Demon's a lot

I forget what station (maybe all CBS owned stations), but Jeff said they play on the radio when they need to fill a minute.

I do enjoy the idea of strapping combat chainsaws to feet.

Couldn't disagree with you more about Dark Souls, imo 2 feels super bland and by-the-numbers (which I guess on some level is to be expected from a sequel but it's still super disappointing given the huge leap from DeS to DaS1)

@luck702: Bayo 2 comes with Bayo 1 for free.

The World Of Video Games

Edited by MichiganJack

So I went grocery shopping at my local regional grocer "Meijer" and thought hey why not take a look at the video game section as one may do. Well to my complete surprise they were completely sold out of Wii-U and the 3DS, but still had a number of Xbox One and PS4 still on the shelves (including the White Destiny bundle). They also still have Gears of War 3 collections edition (for $70!), which I thought was just as hilarious.

And I disagree with your disagreement. I also think Dark Souls 2 is a lot better than the first game.

That said, I also understand why people would like the first better. Opinions.

It's mechanically better, but the atmosphere, level design and enemy/boss design is extremely lacking compared to previous iterations (not including the DLCs, and even those have their issues)

Edited by LarryDavis

@sjack: I do agree with this, it sucks how many of DS2's bosses are just rehashes, but I would still rather play it over DS1 any day. Haven't played the DLCs, but those are all out now so I might do that.

But I would also say the approach to the castle in DS2 is more atmospheric than anything in DS1.

Posted by Zevvion

@sjack: I can understand why you would like the atmosphere in Dark Souls better. I still found a bunch of area's in Dark Souls II to be really cool, while Dark Souls still had its fair share of uninteresting environments as well.

In the end, I like Dark Souls for its progression and how it plays. Like you said, that is handled much better in DSII.

Despite my preference of DS1 over 2, I recently booted up an unpatched PC version of DS1, and I gotta tell you man, even the non Blightown areas were rough to go back to.

Bayonetta 2: It's kind of amazing.

I always enjoy these just for all the odd soundbytes (especially that trademark Sony noise at the end), but Jeff's luxury radio voice is a delightful bonus.
