Jeff, the fact no one is attacking Elizabeth is explained very early on in the story. I don't really see how it breaks your illusion in that way.

What is that explanation? I don't remember. But there's plenty more shit to break immersion, like the idea that you're running around desperately shoving food in your mouth in the middle of a gunfight

Wasn't "Wounded Knee" like in the late 1880's and a horrible Massacre of Indians?

It was in 1890, and the game takes place in 1905. Only 15 years after.

That's what I just said except I thought the game took place in 1912? My question was: Wasn't wounded knee a terrible massacre of indians? Wasn't it?? I hope this is addressed maturely and with the proper respect in the game. Otherwise, that's kind of creepy.

Basically yes, but at the time was probably seen more as a military thing. Read about it here (there's a reason the wiki page calls it a massacre)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wounded_Knee_Massacre

but basically they were disarming dudes and a misunderstanding happened and the US army just started to shoot everyone, including women and children.

Like I said at the time/from a pro-white patriot's point of view like those at columbia it would have been seen as a great victory, much like bombing the shit out of Chinese dudes from the sky would have been (Boxer Rebellion, didn't really happen like that ofc)

I still haven't figured out those SE sales numbers. They were marked as "expected FY2013" and if lists Tomb Raider at 3.4 million. I am still dying to know if that was their projected sales for 3 weeks of retail (because it doesn't include digital downloads), which is still damn good, or if it's actually sold 3.4 million copies retail in 3 weeks, which would be god damn amazing quite frankly. Not sure that game has even had a sale yet, but mark it at $50 each and that's $170m. That can't possibly be disappointing or 'weak' to anyone but the most ridiculous.

I don't want to antagonize you, but you're a terrible human being.

EDIT: I know a lot of people have probably said this to you, but the way in which reclining is a great version of the prisoner's dilemma is that the most comfortable way for everybody to be is if nobody reclines, but if the idiot in front of you reclines, then the best alternative for you is to also recline. Reclining with the seat in front of you still in your face is less comfortable than not reclining but more than not reclining with the seat in front in your face.

So by being the first asshole to recline you pontentially screw your entire row's well being. So yeah, a terrible human being. But a good case example for game theory, I guess?

I want to know what Jeff's predictions about Bioshock Infinite were that he says he had wrong.

Really, I just hope they do a full on spoilercast for it after they all play it.

You are a gigantic asshole and I hope in every flight you ever go on for the rest of your life you have some other asshole in front of you recline his chair.

No, see, it doesn't bother me because of my body (which isn't fat or big anyway), it's the face. It's the front seat's back being shoved into my face and knees that sucks, which is why it's more comfortable if you also recline, thus passing the misery over to the next row.

So yeah, you still suck at humanity, not matter what your (or anybody else's) body type. Also, that strip to prevent the guy in front of you from reclining that air traffic authorities declared was legal? I hope somebody puts one of those in your genitalia.

That's really the only thing you can do. Pay it forward.

@noelveiga: Whaaaa...cry me a river..the seats are meant to recline from the manufacturer...talk to Boeing and Airbus if your self important entitled ass wants it changed...your problem is you're out of your controlled comfort zone environment where you always get your way...suck it up junior...life's not fair

Next time march your cheap ass over to the ticket counter and upgrade your ticket to First Class or get a bulkhead or exit row...

Amazing, you're sitting in the cattle car and want luxury travel options...sorry but you're in in stewage class and you get what you pay for...even though you think the airline should some how come up with a magical seat that doesn't put you next to any other travelers but still gets you from San Fran to New York for a paltry $500 bucks...

Actually I travel for work, so for the couple hundred hours of air travel I spend doing that a year I more often than not don't get to choose my own seats. So... yeah. I'm not sure if that disqualifies me to be "junior" as well.

Also, I'm kinda curious about how your logic works. If you find yourself having the opportunity to share your dandruff with me it's because you've paid just as much for your seat as I did for mine, so it's not that you're gaining anything, you're as miserable as you're making the guy behind you be, not any better or worse than they are.

@nasar7: For the record, I don't recline, even if the asshole in front of me does. I'm not particularly comfortable in airplanes anyway, so I just suck it up. Seat strap to ballsack is still a valid response to Chughes' attitude, though.

Sure, you're "meant" to rest both your arms on the armrests too but hogging them like they're only for you is, like, the definition of entitlement. Your seat is really not all yours. Your seat is a part of the seat next to it and the seat behind it. Your armrest is not all yours. The back of your seat is not all yours. If you think you are the master of the whole seat then I think you are the entitled one who expects luxury and control over that little domain in the cattle car. You don't sit on the bus and stick your feet out like you own the place just because you're allowed to.

I have been looking more and more into the Beach Boys lately too, and it is astonishing how some of the themes in BioShock Infinite(not the racial or political ones, but the American and personal ones) tie into some of the themes and ideas of their songs. For instance, the nature of what it means to be American, celebrating being American, surreal or impressionist looks at American life and times, a reflection of the pretentiousness of society at large. Empires, ideas, lives, institutions; everything has to fall. I found it funny that one of their songs was so prominently featured (and was a beloved surprised by pretty much everyone) in the game.

Yes... especially about the back of the seat.

Wait, the developer of Depression Quest is getting rape and death threats?

WTF Steam users, jeez louise. Those idiots don't deserve to be heard.

It's an important and free game that really should be played by anyone not just suffering from depression but also understand what such a person goes through. It also made me realize my bad sleeping problems and procrastination. It'll take 1 hour or so to finish, play it here.

It has nothing to do with weight. I am 6 foot 4. My legs are long as fuck. My legs hit the back of the seat in front of me whether the person decides to recline or not, and when they do recline they are destroying my knees.

Just because you're short and have stumpy child legs doesn't mean everyone else does.

Yeah, I'm a little confused as to how this individual thinks this whole thing works. The duders on the staff aren't 4 feet thick... As a tall dude, I second the above, and the hell with shorty.

I can't really get into how it is addressed without spoiling the crap out of the game, but the simple explanation is that Booker's part in Wounded Knee fucked him up pretty badly. It also shouldn't be surprising that a city of white supremacists in the sky might have a screwed up perspective on the incident.
