Also, Battlefield Hardline....is there BFBC2 deformation? I'm sad because I think not :(

Edited by TheHT

I misread that as "Moral Kombat X". I now need to play a Moral Kombat game.

@jedted: Wouldn't that be great? Wonder if she's even interested, though.

This isn't exactly the right place for it, but I'm kinda of bummed out that the MKX trailer is getting a lot of hate for A) being prerendered and B) having rap music. It's like, since when are cg trailers as teasers such a taboo? Also, why do nerds hate rap so much?

PUSH that MO

14 minutes into the podcast and man, I miss Vinny.

That image legitimately disturbs me.

I don't know why.

I love Zardoz, it is a masterpiece, and I love John Boorman.

I feel like most people ironically like Zardoz, and maybe half of them actually watched the whole movie. I hope that's not true.

It's gotten to the point that I can't tell if people are seriously asking this or not when they say things like this. I apologize if that sounds rude. It's just that so many people have asked this very question in the past week with little apparent understanding of how the hiring process works.

Carrie isn't going to work for Giant Bomb. She actually held a high-ranking position withing Mythic and her career has evolved in such a way that returning to an editor position at a game site like Giant Bomb or GameSpot would almost certainly be a step down for her. Besides that, the editor position that GB was hiring for was filled before the studio closure occurred. So even if she were interested, there is not currently a space available for her here. Giant Bomb would need to get CBSi to approve another staff position, the hiring process would need to proceed through the proper HR channels, and Carrie would have to actively apply and pass through the entire process, convincing everyone involved that she's the best person for the job. Depending on the other applicants, her success in this process would not be a guarantee.

And of course, that's all based on the assumption that she would have active interest in applying to begin with.

I watched the entire film, and I will say that I found it to be mindbogglingly boring with huge swaths of nothingness filling in most of the film. All of the "iconic" scenes that everyone talks about, like the vomiting gun scene or trying to "get up" Sean Connery's wingdangdoodle, comprise of maybe twenty minutes of the film.

Driving to E3 is happening!

So the new hire is gonna be on Jeff's Milxr E3 drive extravaganza?

Posted by DS23

Seeing how they put up an IP block for people in SEA territories once its version launched I kind of don't want a US PSO2 release anymore!

Zardoz is a very weird movie.

So you're saying it's the Tron of art films?

A Sgt. Bilko discussion?

Oh, Drew... You're the best.

Posted by LiquidPrince

Well the concept of the strafing Batmobile comes from the Tumbler Bike from the Dark Knight which could also strafe.

Also, kudos to him for trying to make a Animorphs reference, even though he was quickly shut down by the other guys.

@drewbert a local place in my town has a burger called "The Homewrecker" which is a burger with peanut butter, bacon, a fried egg and served with a side of maple syrup. From what i hear it is delicious, but the kind of thing that will kill you on the spot if you eat more than 5 times in your life.

I hate that statement Jeff busts out all the time that "Your first Mario Kart is your favorite Mario Kart." I've literally never encountered that with any person I've ever talked to ever, and I have a ton of friends and acquaintances that play Mario Kart. Everyone in my family played the SNES game first, we had Mario Kart 64 and played it, but everyone prefers Double Dash. Same thing with my friends. The only people I can ever find that like the N64 game are the kind of people that are nostalgic about all bad PlayStation/N64 games no matter what and think the first Smash Bros is the best one. Mario Kart 64 is a bad game. Diddy Kong Racing was a far superior product. And Crash Team Racing. And countless other similar games in the same era.

Anyway, that's a dumb statement and it irritates me to no end whenever it's said. It's not true in the slightest. I've played all of them in order and the DS game is my favorite and the best. MK8 is pretty darn great though. They're all pretty different too, though I'd love to see more ambition in the features like the mission mode in the DS game or an adventure mode like Diddy Kong Racing.

I second Jeff on the uncomfortable feeling socked feet in other people's homes cause.
