007-373-5963. I've known this number since 1987 yet can't remember any of my previous phone numbers.

Rorie hasn't worked this hard since he wrote game guides at Gamespot.

Great bombcast...keep up the good work.

Inclusivity is always welcome, even if the people who are over-represented think their toes are getting stepped on when the world stops revolving around their perspective, however briefly.

@shaanyboi: As I said, comments about two women who don't appear on the podcast, and one of which is only mentioned in passing, will be considered offtopic.

@prizil: Are you really saying that you would get the impression that everyone is interested in this content after reading through these comments?

DON'T LISTEN TO SAMANTHA'S LIES!

We don't eat mayonnaise with our fries in Europe... We eat salad mayonnaise. It's kinda like your Miracle Whip.

That's even weirder. Actually, rephrasing since I eat mayo with fries in times of desperation: That's weird. Miracle Whip is weird. My illusions of the civilized folks on ~the continent~ are being shattered as we speak.

That sounds like a Brad description to me. Am I in for a Bradcast?

@rorie: Not sure if all your moderates are on the same page then. As simply mentioning a lack on interest in this episode received moderation. It would seem to me this is more about making it look like everyone is interested in this content if you only leave the messages reflecting that view. With all the drama recently it comes across as trying too hard.

Trust me, I know exactly how much effort goes into moderating this site. If you have an issue with moderation policies, send a PM to the moderators and they'll be happy to talk to you about it.

@ultrapeanut: Plus the site's output recently has been like five times what it used to be. Literally a quarter of all content going forward could be dedicated to women/LGBT/etc. stuff and we'd still have more "traditional" content than we've had in years.

I'm pretty sure that nobody cares about the international except Brad(on the bombcast, not in the world), right? Nothing bad about that, I just think that it was pretty fun him describing what was happening. They should've got Jason on the bombcast as well, he probably watched EVO, right? I like EVO and this year's EVO was nuts.

Edited by drabnon

@benpicko: People are actually judging the guest before listening to the podcast. You really think that's okay?

Samantha is the coolest.

@realkman: I will admit that I am probably being careless with my comments.

Still, I think it all comes down to personal perspective and beliefs. Sometimes, I feel like people put too much faith in sociology. Chances are that if I knew whatever you are eluding to about Anita, I would be super bummed and take away any critical thing I said. Still, I am just basing my opinions on her videos and other things I've read by her, and I just don't agree with her tactics, the way she constructs arguments, and the way she presents her viewpoints. I just personally feel that her output is just preaching to the choir and that I find how scornful she is to be off putting. I don't think pigeon holing people into groups ever helps. Once again, this comes down to personal perspective. I have never fit in or felt apart of any societal group, so being clumped into a group and claiming my views are only because of that group really turns me off. Zoe Quinn and Jenn Frank... (and judging by the podcast, Samantha Kalman) present their points on the same subject in a way that seems constructive.

Of course, I am further derailing the discussion of things that are not this over and over. I just wanted to try and clarify that I am not of of those jerks. Or maybe I am one of the jerks. I have no idea. I hope not at least.

Also, talk about cows instead, guys and gals.

@ultrapeanut: Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, the more traditional condiment for fries in my country is actually Remoulade... That's probably even weirder.

I can't speak for him, but I think I only saw him in the chat at the very end of the last day. Maybe he was lurking otherwise, though. Crazy ending to that SF tournament, though.

@gasparnolasco: There are a LOT of people talking about issues of race in games. There are a LOT of people of color doing so, and doing brilliant work. That you haven't been exposed to said work is an indication of how horribly biased mainstream coverage is towards the perspective of white men.

Edited by ultrapeanut

@darkbeatdk: I honestly can't even imagine how that tastes. I must... I must acquire some. =\

The really dumb thing about this debate is if you just listened to the episode w/o seeing the drama here...you might not even know there was drama. Yes, they talked about GaymerX....but guess what video games podcasts talk about video games news and events. this should not be shocking.

Edited by GasparNolasco

@ultrapeanut: I'm pretty sure there are. Never seem them, though. So I guess the front for white women rights is currently winning by a landslide. That's my main problem with the subject.

Samantha Kalman is the best. Really looking forward to Sentris.

@rorie: Well, watching it on twitch is something else, it's ridiculous as hell with all the stream monsters.

But he probably did not watch it, oh well. Plenty of fighting game fans who don't watch evo.

Remoulade is dope. There's a little french fries kiosk at my local mall that serves fries with remoulade and if I went to the mall every day I would weigh substantially more than I do now.

This was a great podcast!

@brad great hosting!

Samantha was a wonderful guest!

@rorie keep kicking ass! <3

@gasparnolasco: I knew this was about Borderlands 2 before I clicked on it, and you're right, that game is fucking terrible. But that's really not relevant to your use of that word, so

Posted by DarkbeatDK

@ultrapeanut: PM me some sort of address and I'll mail you some.

I made the right choice by listening to the podcast before seeing all these dumb comments. Most of it is wrestling talk, dota talk, Dan's eating habits, and a variety of other silliness

Edited by ultrapeanut

@darkbeatdk: Thanks for the offer, but I'll look for it on my own. That's part of the adventure. :p

I may be invited to tag along with a friend to Scandinavia next year, so worst case I'll look then.

People are wrong: Tetrisphere is fucking great. Learn how to play it.

That said, I always love of the obscure-ass titles from my past that Dan offhandedly dredges up. Also, spookily enough, I've just been rewatching the OverBlood 2 Super Replay, where Dan talks about The Waluigi sandwich (and realises with horror just how much mayonnaise he's probably consumed).

@ultrapeanut: Awesome! If you get nearby Denmark, you'll probably find it in every supermarket and store right next to the ketchup. Happy hunting! :)

*EDIT* They don't seem to have it at McDonalds and Burger King though, but if you visit a Danish "pølsevogn" (Hot dog stand), they'll have it there.

Edited by Giganteus

@coolarman: Word. I'm usually slightly weary of unfamiliar guests appearing on the bombcast, but this one's just fine. They should bring back Samantha sometime.

Yep, I came here to say how much I enjoyed these episode and that everyone in it was great (especially Dan's undying love for Waluigi and his weird eating habits) and there are more than 200 comments of the internet being the internet.

@gasparnolasco: lmao, you're one of those "it's all about context!!" guys i see every day defending homophobic slurs. got it. stop using someone else's cause to further your argument if you don't actually care about them enough to avoid using a slur used to belittle them.

I think the time has come for you two to take this to a PM as I think we've drifted far afield of the podcast content here.

This place gets weird some times. Reminds me of that Skeptics Guide to the Universe a few months ago when they got a lot of complaints about one of their hosts being biased and only talking about female scientists in her "this week in science history" segment, which resulted in them checking the stats and seeing that only 13% of that segment throughout the previous year had been about female scientists.

Great Bombcast. Drew was killin' it.

@rorie: don't worry, i've had my fill of giant bomb dot com comments for one day anyway :) thanks rorie.

And the Giant Bombcast broadcast day has concluded. I could sit here and delete comments all night but it's clear the moderation team already has enough to follow up on here. Feel free to conclude any of your conversations via PM. If you ever have any concerns about moderation practices, feel free to use the PM All Mods link on the right side of any forum post, and if you have concerns about Bombcast subject matter, feel free to reach out to an editor.

I'm only a few minutes in. Does the mic for the quest get fixed at any point? I'm hearing tons of static/poping/crackling etc when she speaks. And its driving me crazy.
