I have done a pretty good job so far staying away from most things Mass Effect 3 related. The only things I've seen are the live action trailers, so I know that the Reapers come to Earth and Shepard has to save it. Beyond that I know almost nothing about the game. Is this Bombcast talking about just 1 and 2 or do they talk at length about 3 and what's in it. I would very much like to listen to this to get myself even more pumped, if that's possible, but want to avoid any other info about 3. Is this safe to listen to?

They don't talk about any specific story stuff, just the thought that went in behind making the game, multiplayer, responding to fan expectation. There's a bit of plot justification behind the multiplayer, but it's not specific and it's common knowledge.
Really cool that he came back! After listening to this I'm officially signing off on all online media as I don't want review scores, opinions and even spoilers to ruin my ME3 experience. Gotta be oblivious.
Vinny did a good job as per usual. Everyone asked good questions.
You can tell the producer... Sorry, i'll use him name; Casey Hudson - was a creative under the veil of having to sell his game. He did not always answer the questions - often changing the question around into a pitch for the game, however when brad asked him (i think it was brad) what he would like to make if he had a choice - his answer of "a separate story in new york" peaked my interest. (as it did brad's, because he followed up with another question about the viability of setting a game in new york from perspective of visual consistency). And not just a 'shooter' in new york either, it sounded like he wanted to make a game that just dealt with some everyday life. And that's interesting as hell if it's done with imagination and zest.
I am more for games being 'more that what we consider them' than I am the entire giant bomb website. Hell, I am more for that concept actually taking flight that I am being a gamer and playing games. And I love games.
I just need to see the industry delve into new areas. Do something new. Rethink things.
Some people just want more saints row or call of duty, or another jrpg dealing with the same themes.
I am NOT done with those a-typical games, I just need people to make alternatives enough for alternatives to actually matter to people that are not simply me and a few other randoms across the world.
Why do we always need to lean on something like a "shooter", there is a vast sea of possibilies, yet we choose 1 out of ten million. And that same 1 every.single.time.
Outside the damn box people, [ this is the box] <---- That's the box. This is outside the goddamn box.
What the hell? You guys should probably tell people this exists.
They probably didn't want people to think the "new!" was referring to yesterday's podcast and have people ignore it. Either way the "new!" tag is showing up now.
I truly truly don't mean to start an argument, but to anyone who has listened, is there any comment in the podcast on ME 3 and the possibility of it coming to Steam?
@iBePeRFeCT: It's completely spoiler free, they talk about the design philosophies of the franchise and stuff like multiplayer in 3 and fan reaction to some of the changes, I've also being avoiding stuff about the game but you can totally listen to this
