Mortal Kombat X moves forward with a snappier version of the previous game's fighting and some cool new characters, but the story and other features around the edges feel a bit rough in spots.
The ways that Axiom Verge resembles Metroid help set up and drive home the ways that Axiom Verge is most definitely not Metroid.
Hotline Miami's thrillingly brutal gameplay is stretched to the point of breaking in this aesthetically pleasing, but otherwise disappointing sequel.
When a studio goes under, that's usually the end of it. But after Blitz Games imploded, the UK developers tasked with resurrecting Sega's quirky series didn't give up.
I hope to find some nuggets in this which weren't in the original article.
Such a crazy story.
@patrickklepek never stop dumpin' man. Love these interviews!!
Hey @patrickklepek, the audio cuts out for like 10 seconds, around 19:15 to 19:25. It's in the part where you ask the guys about how they came up with all the words and phrases, then the one guy (Jogo?) should start saying the spiel you used in the introduction about proper typing fighting back, but instead it's just silence because you may have accidentally cut that section?
It comes back in partway through what he's saying, but there's a super awkward pause where I thought everybody was just stonewalling you for 5-10 seconds.
I love these interviews, every single one of them is interesting and there's no way these would be on Giant Bomb if it wasn't for Patrick. :D
