Beep Beep!

I feel like I've elevated myself to a whole new level, I'm listening to this on the toilet.

I didn't know the tools used to make games were the same as those used to make animated movies. That's interesting.

Oh weird, I just created the page for Ghost of a Tale a few days ago, thanks for getting this interview.

Alpha version trailer for the game, it looks really interesting. I especially like the character design, I hope this becomes a reality.

Check out his youtubechannel for more relevant videos, among others is a nice look at Mouse model.

I do love the way the little mouse rolls. This seems pretty interesting.

That actually looks pretty great! Really dig the mood and atmosphere shown here. It's like watching a zelda game set on the Dear Esther island with little Dark Souls thrown in to the mix :)

Not to mention adorable! I'll throw some money at them, I really want to see where this goes.

Yup. Unfortunately, as that movie was hot garbage at best, an atrocity at worst.

Despicable Me was alright.

This game's pre-alpha stuff looks pretty good. Might chuck it a few bucks.

When Hollywood Isn't Enough, or, When Hollywood Is Not Enough, making the acronym WHINE. An article about some Hollywood guy who isn't satisfied. WHINE. Patrick you sly dog.

I haven't listened :)

SO CUTE

@iragequit: honestly, I've communicated with Seith online over eight months or so, from when he was working with Cryengine (AAA game engine), and I listened to the whole interview. I've never heard him 'whine' about Hollywood at all (or about anything really)... not in this interview, or ever.

He's a friendly, straight up and very skilled guy. Last year he programmed a Maya to Cryengine level import tool, and gave it out (and supported it) for free, to the entire community. At one stage, they were even using his importer at Crytek.

Seeing someone roll with a mandolin strapped to their back makes the musician in me cringe a little bit. I'm interested in seeing what comes of this, though.

@matoyak: oh it was fine just don't think about it to much and it's serviceable.

I bet once the interviewee mentioned Dishonored, Patrick was sold on whatever this guy is making. Couldn't help but laugh at that moment, considering Patrick's disapproved (in the office) love of that game.

Looks like a concept that is hardly touched anymore by developers. A platformer with an original idea. Might not be a blockbuster, but at least it's different.
