Fog plays an important role in many games. In games like Silent Hill, it's an atmospheric element. In other games, it's artificially added to reduce draw distances to save memory and increase framerate.
Sentient fungi. Typical forest creatures.
Gastly is a ghost/poison-type pokemon first found in the original Pokemon Red/Blue. Gastly uses his spooky visage to weaken opponents by scaring them.
Giant insects often use various poisonous attacks.
A really big toad with magical abilities. Gigantoads are recurring monsters in the Final Fantasy games.
Gloom is a Grass/Poison type Pokémon that evolves from Oddish and can evolve into Vileplume with a Leaf Stone, or Bellossom with a Sun Stone.

Koffing is a poison-type Pokémon first found in Pokémon Red/Blue. Koffing makes guttural sounds of saying its name before emitting a toxic cloud of fumes that poisons opponents, earning it its name.
Losing consciousness is often a result of being knocked out or fainting. In games, this mental state is often used to allow a checkpoint to be reached, for the plot to be moved forward, or even for location changes. Sometimes it can be a state of limbo between health being depleted and actual death.
Mythical Creature with the face of a man, the body of a lion, sometimes with wings and a tail that can shoot spikes. Other times it has a snake for a tail or a scorpions tail.

Murder is the act of ending the life of another living thing against its will without the sanction of a higher governmental authority, such as the casualties that result from acts of war. It is generally intentional, at least in a legal meaning, but not necessarily.

Ninjutsu are the techniques a Ninja/Shinobi will use in battle with ones adversary. They are also considered survival techniques by the Japanese.

While some lead and supporting characters meet their end for the whole world to see, others are killed while the camera is focusing on something else. Typically, an off-screen death can mean the character was not actually killed and will return at a later time.
The evolved form of Qwilfish, debuting in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Mostly found in RPGs, these are status ailments that continue outside of battle.
