This may seem odd for non Pokemon Fans, but to Pokemon fans I'm sure it is a great relief because before we would have to dea with this...
You caught GEODUDE!
How is your CHARMANDER! doing
I never quite understood the reasoning for that, but atlast with Pokemon Black/White they come to her senses and start doing things like.
You got Tehpig!
Best thing in Pokemon White/Black so far!
Pokémon Black/White
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Mar 06, 2011
Pokémon Black and White are the fifth generation of Pokémon games for the Nintendo DS. Both introduce several new game play innovations to the series including a more complex battle system, fully-animated 3D models and environments, extensive online integration, and a refresh of the entire selection of Pokémon.
Pokemon's names are in LOWER CASE!
" Is there really a Pokemon called "Tehpig" or is that just a bad joke? "No, it's actually "Tepig", but man, it'd be awesome if it was "Tehpig" :P
Anyway, at fucking last. What I never liked about Pokémon is that it was like my family: always FUCKING SHOUTING EVERYTHING!!
I liked there names in caps. Would you rather catch a zubat or a ZUBAT.
Its nice just for that first catch, I nickname all my pokemon after that anyway.
"Oops, I actully thought that was its name, damn, my opinion on Tepig has now lowered...Think I'm going to nickname my Tepig "Tehpig" now
"
The only pokemon I'm naming is Smugleaf.
So now I've to rename them in uppercase to get it all right again? O.o
Seriously though, it's a great thing that the person who named the Pokémon finally found the Caps Lock key. Only took over twelve years. But hey, this is the year of twelve-years to-make it-right after all.
Thank god, at least I always fixed my main characters name so that it wouldn't look stupid.
Also, I'm renaming my Tepig into Pignition anyway.
Diamond & Pearl changed character names, so we no longer had things like "PROF. OAK" but this is the first one to change the actual Pokemon.
Not sure why this took so long. Even if you trade in Pokemon from the old games, they revert to lowercase, so it's not like there's a technical issue.
" @Hizang said:HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Best thing in Pokemon White/Black so far! "It's a pretty sad state of affairs if the greatest innovation in a sequel is the use of a lowercase font. I'd say RIP Pokemon, but that franchise has been dead for years... "
That's hilarious, dude.
groundbreaking! But the thing was often times the pokemon games I played were in Japanese so I never really noticed this.
the whole caps lock on the names didnt really bother me. it actually looked kinda cool when i nicknamed my pokemon cause the names would look different
" No Caps-locked names? NO BUY. YOU DONE FUCKED UP, NINTENDO. ANOTHER GREAT FRANCHISE RUINED. FUCK! "
It's a sad state of things when the most notable change we can talk about in a new Pokemon game is one of capitalization. I'd talk about how them making the exact same game for 12 years now with minor, minor tweaks in each new iteration is bad game design, but it clearly seems to keep on working for Nintendo.
" Thank god, at least I always fixed my main characters name so that it wouldn't look stupid. Also, I'm renaming my Tepig into Pignition anyway. "Apparently the 1st evolution of Tepig is called Pignite, so it looks like Gamefreak already had you covered!
