Pokemon Gold and Silver are the best portable games out there!

Pokemon Gold and Silver are the actual sequels to Red and Blue, and continue with the same basic formula and gameplay. You take control of a kid and pick your starting pokemon, then set out on an adventure. There are 100 all new pokemon, as well as a whole new area to explore with the ability to revisit Kanto.

Silver and Gold from the start already looks better than the previous in  the series, and fully supports the Game Boy Color. You'll start out by picking your pokemon first off, then you'll have to run errands for the Professor before you really get into the game. Your main objective is still to collect all of the badges and beat the Elite Four, then collect every pokemon in the game. Team Rocket will be back to stand in your way as well once again. There are many side quests you'll have to do through your journey, much like the previous games.

Pokemon is like your average JRPG, and still has the turned based battle system, with the player able to hold a team of six pokemon in his line up at a time. The player will verse trainers, wild pokemon and criminals along the way, and Gym Leaders to win a badge from. A new day and night system is introduced, along with the new Pokegear to navigate through items and all others stuff. You can take berries from trees and use them as items, such as potions or healing items. You will still have an option to use a bike once again to travel around a lot faster. The games introduce two new HM's, witch are waterfall and whirlpool.

Pokemon once again brings an all new soundtrack, and which of course is awesome, and really fits the vibe of the game, from traveling routes to battling the Elite Four. You'll enjoy every moment of the music score, it fits the atmosphere of the game, as well as any area you are in, like the Burning Tower or the Unknown Cave.

As far as the game looking outstanding, Silver and Gold brings a ton of stuff for a GB Color game, and is the best RPG experience on a portable system, and probably the best there will be. Both games have outstanding color, and look good for what it should be, and the art for each of the Pokemon really makes the feel like your living in this fantasy. Gold and Silver are some of the funnest and most addicting games I've ever played, and should be enjoyed by everyone, no matter what age, because behind some of the cuteness, these are excellent RPG experiences. You will easily get over 100 hours in on one of these games, and the replay value is superb, with a fun factor for you to be able to go through this amazing adventure at least a few times. I highly recommend Gold and Silver.

Silver and Gold remain the best Pokemon games yet. 0

Pokemon Red and Blue made a huge splash in the video game industry back in the late 1990's, and to this day it's still a massively popular franchise with a strong universal appeal. For kids, perhaps it's the idea of collecting and battling cool creatures, teaching them killer attacks, and watching opponents' HP bars drop to zero. For teens and adults, it could be the deep but approachable battle system or nowadays the pure nostalgia of it all. Whatever it is that draws people young and old into...
