HeartGold and SoulSilver are amazing remakes

HeartGold and SoulSilver are remakes of 10 year old games, and are justified using elements and graphics from the DS games from the series. You will take control of your character and collect all 16 badges and catch them all.

From the start up of each of these games, you will notice it looks pretty much the same, just a lot prettier and in 3Dish graphics, and better translation. You will be able to obtain the same Pokemon from the original games, and including the starters. You will battle various trainers throughout the entire game, and most of them containing the same pokemon as well as the same levels from the originals. The game has added all of the new features, such as touch screen elements, new moves and various battle techniques have also integrated over too. The games have the exact same storyline also, and has you battling the same rival, and the terrible Team Rocket. Another new feature brought from Pokemon Yellow is the addition that the first pokemon in your lineup will follow behind you as you travel around Johto and Kanto. The main storyline will take about 20 - 30 hours, plus tons and tons more with some of the most replay value in any game ever made. There are 493 Pokemon that you will have to obtain to catch them all.

These games look pretty much like Diamond and Pearl, with a lot smoother textures, and just better to look at, but based from the same engine. They have added tons of detail to many buildings, and effects such as white curly lines flying through the air to represent wind current, and cool looking autum type leaving on the path toward the Tower where you will catch Ho-Oh.

From the music, which is completely remixed from the original games and sounds very excellent. Older pokemon will have their old 8 bit cries, but not really a big deal at all. The sound effects are as good as what they should be for this type of game, and has very engaging battle music, and really gets you going and makes you really fell like you are part of this universe.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver are outstanding games, and feel really fresh with tons of things as well as new things for the player to do, like the Pokewalker for instance. I suggest you go and play these amazing games right now, and reading this review isn't even really a small bit of what these games really are. They have the most addicting gameplay, and stadegy for any RPG out there, and plating with friends is a blast. The game isn't really just for kids, anybody can get involved in the world of pokemon and have fun, just try it out, because you'll get addicted, I swear.

      Golden 0

We've been subject to Pokémon games for a long time. Many people never got beyond Pokémon Red and Blue as by time Gold and Silver came out, Pokémon had been overexposed and was considered pretty lame. That's really too bad, because Gold and Silver were probably the pinnacle of the Pokémon games, truly worthwhile sequels that felt superior in every way to it's predecessor. More than a decade later, we receive the remake, and it is truly everything I dreamt it would be.  The story is pretty much t...

      The Definitive Pokemon Experience 0

It isn't often that a single game can shape an entire generation. For some, it was Pac Man or Pong. For others it might have been Super Mario Bros. or The Legend of Zelda. I grew up when Pokemon was that game. We were the target demographic, the legions of Pokemaniacs who would eat up every bit of merchandising, rave about the cartoon, and spend all of our parent's money in the process. Looking back however, I realize how many left their experience after Red and Blue, never venturing past their ...
