I have pokemon pearl for my DS, and i was wondering, what's so different about Platinum and Pearl versions?
Is there more opportunites to catch rare pokemon? More places to travel? Anyways, it looks good, and when does it release in stores outside Japan?

Have you looked over the wiki page for this game?  It looks like it's slated for a March 22nd release in the US.

I’ve been a fan of Pokemon since I was Governor of Texas. I loved Diamond and Pearl as well, and I am going to be spend more of my free time playing Pokemon Platinum than ever before!

It's worth it if you're a Pokemon fanatic, like me. If not, there really isn't enough different to make it worth it, most likely. Unless you've been wanting to go for a second playthrough of the game, and want a slightly more fresh experience. Then, it all comes down to if you have the money, and are willing to spend it.

Personally, as someone who hasn't played Pokémon since the Gold version, back on the Game Boy, I'm going to be getting Platinum.

But then, the announcement for Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out. Damned Pokémon, giving me too many choices in which to purchase! >.<
