There hasn't been a whole lot of Pokemon talk on the forums. That's not a big surprise, but we did have one for XY, so I figured maybe we should have one for Sun/Moon, too. So this thread is for everything: hidden abilities, female Salandits, shiny bartering, Pokerus, trade evos, the like.

And this game, of all Pokemon games, begs for an active trading scene. Have you seen some of these encounter rates?

To get the ball rolling I've got about a dozen Contrary Fomantis with Leaf Storm. Since Contrary is a Hidden Ability it's a sincere pain in the ass to pick up in the wild but because of busted breeding mechanics they're a cinch to duplicate. I've also got Hidden Ability Rockruffs and Cubones if you fancy No Guard or Rock Head on their evolutions. On a more mundane note I've got Popplios and Mareanies, everyone's favourite crown-of-thorns starfish (and least favourite use of a new mechanic). I'm not looking for anything in particular - Sun exclusives are always nice but it's enough for me to spread the good word of Popplio, too.

@milijango: I was totally about to say something like "they've put 'endless loop hatch runs' in the previous games though" until I watched that video. That's hilarious and incredible, and way faster than going back and forth in front of the daycare in X/Y/OR/AS.

As for the thread itself, I don't have anything just yet but by the time I get to that daycare area I might. Always useful to have one of these threads going.

I'd love one egg each of the starters, but I'm probably just going to trade my starters to a friend and then back again.

@milijango: I've been out of the Pokémon game for a while, so not sure what Hidden Abilities are and all that, and I'm still padding out my own collection of creatures, but I've got a Vulpix and Rufflet that I can part with (Sun exclusives)

I'd love a Popplio and a Sandshrew, if you've gotten that far in the game, but I'm open to other trades too.

Because of some creative trading on the GTS I currently have all starters and nearly every version exclusive Pokemon excluding legendaries and UBs.

These won't have any particular nature, abilities, or moves though. I'm just providing exclusives for people who need their Pokedex filled. You can use them to breed your own though!

Edit: the creative trading was that people really want Turtonator. Managed to trade a Petilil for one, and have been mass breeding Turtonators to throw on the GTS since the third island started. I even found people willing to trade Sun exclusives like Tirtouga for Turtonator, even though he's a Sun exclusive Pokemon. I guess people don't want to catch their own.

Hey! I signed up for this forum because I've been looking for a contrary leaf storm fomantis since I got started! I'm only about midway through the game though, the only real good things i can offer are a jangmo-o, rowlet or litten. I really need a contrary fomantis, and it sounds like you have plenty to spare, which would be rad :)

Hey, I'm still pretty early in the game so i'll probably be back once I get farther in. I have a quick question though. I goofed up and accidentally traded my pikachu while it was holding the soothe bell (at least I got Pheromosa in return, as I have sun) but now I no longer have a soothe bell and am quite annoyed.

Is there any way to get another one or am I just solidly boned?

@excessdebris: Lucky for you soothe bells can be bought for BP at the battle royal arena. Which is available about midway through the second island.

I bred a bunch of Littens trying to get a shiny, which I got after only 25 hatches! my first shiny hatch ever! needless to say I'm very happy right now :) anyways I have about 10 left if anyone is interested in one let me know. Damn looking at this tread made me look up what the exclusive pokemon are and maaaaaaan I got the wrong version :p I prefer pretty much all the sun exclusives. Might have to trade up eventually then I guess. Ive clocked in hundreds of hours as a kid playing pokemon(ruby being the last one I played 100+hours) but this might be the first time I'll ever trade lol. Or maybe not, by the end of the game I'll probably have more pokemon then I'll ever care to look at anyways if I'm being honest with myself.

Someone here should give me a Buzzwole for my god damn Pheromosa. The fact there are 2x as many Phero's out there as Swole-daddies has made it impossible to trade one on GTS. I put one up for trade, it's sat there all fucking day with no takers. I look for a Buzzwole from someone who actually wants a Phero: "This pokemon has already been traded". It's maddening.
