In Pokémon Yellow, the player takes control of a character based on Ash, who's goal is to collect and train various Pokémon to defeat gym leaders and eventually the Pokémon League. The yellow version is distinct in that the player is given a Pikachu as a starting Pokemon.

Overview

Differing from Red and Blue versions of Pokémon, Special Pikachu Edition followed much of the same story as the anime, basing the player on the main character Ash Ketchum. The player gets a Pikachu in the beginning of the game and instead of returning to the Pokéball, Pikachu stays out and walks behind the trainer. By talking to Pikachu the player can see how it feels about them. Also the player was able to obtain all of the starter Pokémon from the original games (Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander). The game also follows the story of Team Rocket members, Jessie, James, and talking-Pokémon Meowth. There is the standard leveling up and battle system. YourPokémonand evolve and gain new attacks and abilities.Defeated trainersgive you money that can be used in detialed towns were you can buy potions, send yourPokémonto day care, buyPokéballs, and many other things that you will need in the world the game can be very long if you strive to beat every trainer and do every thing in the game. This game over all is a very fun and enjoyable game for both the hardcore and casualPokémonfans.
