Pokemon Online was such an amazing game... If only it would have come out of beta. I would have never played another game. Yelling about how I had to complete my pokedex and trading my grandmothers china for the chance to get the ultra rare shiny Oddish.

No, they would have to re-work everything about the game including making an entirely different battle system to work in that format. As a competitive battler there’s no upside. If we’re just taking about an MMO that happens to have pokémon in it, then sure, I guess. But MMOs always launch broke and Nintendo doesn’t really doesn’t know the meaning of post-release support so that’ll be bad.

Also it’s always been Game Freak developing the games, and The Pokémon Company does most of the publishing. Nintendo proper never really touches the things. Nor have they made any MMOs that I’m aware of so the whole thing seems ill advised.

If Nintendo would hire pro's, or learn how the internet works. I would love a Pokemon MMO. I would even pay for a month or two and then wait until it goes F2P.

I don't mean to be a dick/troll/whatever you want to say, but no, not at all. Nintendo doesn't understand online (or at least they haven't displayed that they have) so I can't imagine an MMO developed by them would be very good.

I share this sentiment, but at the same time I feel like it could be cool. The thing I always hate about MMOs is how slow the leveling process ends up becoming. If I could pick up some new Pokemon, and have them skyrocket in levels, see all there evolution, abilities, ect. It may keep me more interested in the main progression.

I have always thought Pokemon would be perfect for an MMO environment. I know Nintendo doesn't like to do internet at all but I still want it.

Now that I'm done being bitter, Yes I would love a Pokemon MMO, if Nintendo would get their head out of their ass and figure out how the internet works.

Doesn't have to be an MMO but a great online PVP battle arena or something were you can trade and battle on at anytime.

I share the same stance. If Nintendo made an MMO, it would be about as well conceived as Final Fantasy XIV.

And for that matter, I don't like the structure of any MMO I've ever seen, so I'm not ever particularly excited by the prospect of "X, but THIS TIME IT'S AN MMO". Pass.

I'm opposed to the idea of a Pokemon MMO but I did like the Secert Bases idea in Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire, also Emerald... And I guess to a point Diamond, Pearl, & Platinum with 'The Underground' but anyway. I really like the idea of trading trainer data and the game genrating events within the game.
