Hahaha, yeah it's a fucking great idea....Man I still don't know why Nintendo didn't invest into a 3D Pokemon mmo world, that and could still make a ton of cash, and if done right could be awesome.
I've thought about a Pokemon MMO for years. I'm not even into Pokemon anymore (that was like 10 years ago) but I still think that, if done right, it could be a really awesome and fun game.
I seriously think that a Pokémon MMORPG would be brilliant if an official one was ever announced. I think a series as popular as Pokémon could actually be a huge contender in the MMO market.
A Pokemon MMO would be a license to print money, but considering Nintendo's policies regarding the online segment and the sad fact that it'd be a magnet for pedophiles, it'll never happen.

I've actually played most of the Pokemon games. I just think a Pokemon MMO should be a bit more innovative than the same gameplay from the portable versions. Maybe something along the lines of Pokemon Colosseum or XD.

Edit: It's meh. I didn't see any other active players on my server. Battles are laggy and it takes a while to register your move. No pokemon animations. Music loops a lot. And your guy moves so fucking SLOW! But since it is a beta, there is still room for improvement.

No. I had been trying to register through the Snowpoint Temple server, but it would never load up. I just tried a different server and it works fine now.

i have been dreaming of one since i first played pokemon back in the day. The game is basically an off-line MMO as is. But sadly Nintendo has the rights to the IP so they will have to run it into the ground with a bunch of crappy no updated sequels to milk the thing until no one has even the slightest interest in it any more. Then they might make some shitty horrid MMO that no one will care about and will finally be the death nail in the coffin of the pokemon IP. Or something. I just hope to Christ they don't make a Pokemon MMO for the wii...PC or nothing as far as I'm concerned.
