The Good: It's difficult to think of any aspect of Portal 2 that isn't outstanding. Level design, sound design, writing, and voice acting are second-to-none; smooth controls, perfect pacing, and steady laughs make for an experience best described as pure joy. On a more personal note, I adored the gag references to Asimov and Machiavelli, both of which reveal more about my favorite character: Wheatley. Since Aperture's robots were provided with just one copy of The Three Laws of Robotics "to share", it's no wonder that power turns Wheatley evil; given the speed of his downfall, it's safe to say that Wheatley never actually got around to reading The Prince!

The Bad: Co-op wasn't as satisfying as single-player... but it was still hugely fun, so I'm not exactly complaining.

The Stand-out Moment: The entire first chapter of single-player? The entire last chapter? Don't make me choose!

The Verdict: 10 (out of 10)

It's only a formality that I'm waiting until the end of the year to officially crown Portal 2 as my 2011 GOTY.
