If you left that final portal open indefinitely, would it eventually suck out all of the Earth's atmosphere?

If the facility wasn't sealed, I suppose so?

I bet it was sealed though.

Chell also should be dead because she was in space for a period of time.

EDIT:

Also the space orb and the other orb shouldn't even be able to speak to the camera because there is no air in space for the sound to travel through. Plus portals don't exist.

So pretty much fuck that game.

@ValiantGrizzly: Rock is porous, so even if it was sealed, we're talking about a multiple-story vacuum here. There's bound the be a crack or two, not counting any future structural damage that might happen from suddenly creating a giant underground vacuum!

If it was sealed, you wouldn't have been able to shoot a portal at the moon through the giant gaping hole lol

@Enigma777 The atmospheric pressure would attempt to equalize between Earth and the moon, so it depends on whether the moon's gravity could actually hold onto any of that atmosphere. The fact that it's rushing through the portal with considerable velocity would likely mean the moon's minimal gravity wouldn't be enough to slow the gas and it would continue out into space.

I love how some people are forgetting about the giant hole in the facility you shoot a portal through.

Yes, it would take a long time, like putting a sewing needle in a giant basketball.

The portal faces earth, so it would be shot back. Also, earths gravity would pull it back.

@Enigma777: @bushpusherr: Dude, I don't fucking know.

I forgot about the hole, though, yes. That was dumb. Super dumb.
