I love their choice of music and pacing in the trailer. I'm very much interested in this game. Or at least looking forward to see actual gameplay.

Internet is never short of assholes.

Well... that was pretty fucking cool... but then again, anything with Johnny Cash, should be.

Thoroughly entertaining trailer! :D

#10 Posted by Robitt (349 posts) -

Seems like a departure for the series. Which is good news.

Johnny Cash and his cover of Rusty Cage. This looks good!

#12 Posted by MyNameIsJoe (184 posts) -

Awesome trailer, I just hope the game is half as cool.

@Meowshi: And people lacking a sense of humour..

Bullshit! And this game looks awesome.

What an awful use of a Johnny Cash cover.

I love E3!

#18 Posted by SSully (4125 posts) -

That was an outstanding trailer!

The scene where he takes out the 4 guys after the target says, "Shoot this motherfucker" reminds me of the 'negotiation' scene from Fifth Element.

#19 Posted by Sil3n7 (1176 posts) -

Might as well drop the Prey name because this looks like it has nothing to do with the first one.

Also that name probably only hurts it at this point.

#20 Posted by thedevilbat (49 posts) -

I'm into it.

Space cowboys are the best cowboys.

#21 Posted by ShockD (2393 posts) -

Great trailer.

#22 Posted by UnlivedPhalanx (473 posts) -

I feel like all the dialogue should be subtitles only or something because of the whole alien thing... then again I said that for Mass Effect and I was wrong, so who knows.

I really hope this is worth playing in some capacity and not just end up as a freebie on OnLive here in 8 months.

PS - Anyone get a severe Stranger's Wrath vibe on this trailer?

The "First" Quest?  Hahah... That's pretty mean, but anybody getting upset over the fact that they can't increase an arbitrary number needs to sort out their priorities.

And this game looks great.  Though I'm likely to say that to any game that has a Cash song in the trailer. hah...

WOW

#25 Posted by Nokterian (61 posts) -

Nice CGI but still why call it prey 2? and i dont know i am not impressed at all..really...

#26 Posted by Slaker117 (4835 posts) -

Neat trailer. If a game could be what this conveys I'd be totally into it.

#27 Posted by Sammo21 (3212 posts) -

I'll be honest, I enjoyed everything I saw there.  If the game is anything like what's shown there I am all over it.  Can't wait to see some game play.

The "First" Quest?
Yep!

That was an INCREDIBLE trailer. Color me hyped as a motherfucker.

#30 Posted by schattenwolf86 (132 posts) -

Trailer didn't mention a PC version... :(

Great trailer. Hope the game is good.

Oh god yes! I approve of everything see here! Take all of my money quickly!

#33 Posted by Deathpooky (1376 posts) -

I don't really know why this is called "Prey 2".  They could just call it "Space Sheriff" and it'd give a better impression than calling it "the follow up to Prey".

Trailer looks awesome as is, but definitely looking for some actual gameplay.

#34 Posted by Pessimisten (24 posts) -

God damit. I cant believe i'm exited for news about a sequel to prey. How the hell did that happen.

Im loving the premise even tough it should just feel stupid and forced. "Remember that last game that wasn't that good, well we accidently set it in the wrong part of town. Over there shits way cool"

Its just such an interesting mash up of the old "Brutal alien invaders" and "Cool space society" scenarios. Like out there in primitive space you can harvest and slaughter the fuck out of less evolved races, but here in space city you better fucking behave dipshit, or the laws gonna get ya.

#35 Posted by Subjugation (4718 posts) -

Cool trailer but I still think they could have given this a completely new name. The relation to the first Prey still seems pretty minimal as far as I know.

#36 Posted by jergrah (19 posts) -

Very impressive trailer -- loved the music.  This just went from a game I didnt care about to one on my radar -- I hope it turns out well.

#37 Posted by Supercancer (181 posts) -

Since when did Prey institute a whole new Mass Effect-like universe? I mean, I'm not complaining, it's just that I don't remember seeing it anywhere in the first Prey.

#38 Posted by boylie (305 posts) -

It's kinda crazy that an IP with a middling title under it's belt is apparently still better then just establishing a new franchise. This seems to have NOTHING to do with Prey, and yet they call it Prey 2.

Weird.

Anyway, the trailer is awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing more

This looks great but it's CG and 0.0 actual gameplay...........

#40 Posted by Sloktor (50 posts) -

i think i read somewhere that he's on another space station, this new game takes place a year after the first game so it couldn't have been the same location as the first.
#42 Posted by MooseyMcMan (10482 posts) -

Why didn't they use the original version of Rusty Cage? Nothing against Mr. Cash, but I like Soundgarden better.

#43 Posted by spilledmilkfactory (1845 posts) -

This game looks like a huge step up from Prey. A nice balance of cowboy bounty hunting antics and crazy sci-fi

#44 Posted by Mesoian (1572 posts) -

Wow. Way to pull me back into the Prey universe.

Kinda sold, maybe we'll get some gameplay next week.

#45 Posted by 2HeadedNinja (1546 posts) -

wait ... why is there no PC-DVD logo at the end?
